Looking for a knife I'm not sure exists...

I like to carry a knife while out in the woods but when I am crawling around and getting torn through brush more modern knives with a clip rarely stay put and have a great habit of hopping out of my back pocket. This has lead me to start looking around for a larger sized traditional folder that would be at home in the woods, then I remembered years ago I was looking through a knife magazine and I saw a knife that is exactly what I'm looking for now. It had about about a 3.5" blade, fairly wide belly with a clip point. I am pretty sure it had stag handles and was a lockback. The one thing that really set it was apart was the second blade, a small woods saw.

Looking back on it that is exactly what I'm looking for right now. A 3.5~" locking blade with a companion wood saw? Does anybody know of a blade like this that isn't custom/over 150?

I am well aware of SAKs but the issue I have with those is they typically have a lot of unused tools for me. I am really just looking for one (maybe two/three)
blades and a saw. The larger SAKs typically either don't have a saw or are too small. Also I would really prefer a locking knife but it's not mandatory.

Thank you

The Puma SGB Warden looks like it might fit the bill, though there's not a ton of belly on the blade. The Boker Folding Hunter Double Lockback might as well, though it's on the pricier end of your range as far as I can see.

I'm not sure I can find pics on a BF-approved dealer site, but a quick Google search should turn them right up. I'm sure other more knowledgeable folks can suggest more options. :)

I think that Puma might have been what I saw in the magazine. Thank you for the suggestion

If this is the pattern you are referring to, it is or was a fairly common German pattern. Keep an eye on fleabay and you will come across at least a couple.

It was years ago but that looks a LOT like it, the one I saw was a clip point. I'll keep my eyes out.

Schrade, Colt, Rough Rider, Marbles, Case and others, two blade folding hunter. Usually comes with a belt sheath.

If you can live with slipjoint instead of locking, afishhunter is right, several companies make them, usually a 4.125" or close to it trapper. Case calls it a Hunter Trapper, they got a gorgeous one out now in 6.5 bone stag... I seem to remember Boker or one of the other German brands did one in a Copperhead pattern a few years back too.

I like the look of a lot of these but most have bone saws. Any search terms I should be looking for?

This is a vendor pic of the Boker 4021 Folding Hunter in stag, with 4" clip main blade in 440C and secondary saw blade. Closed length is 5-1/4". Both blades lock:

That is the knife I saw. Didn't remember the branding though. Thank you

You're welcome. I thought this one might be bigger than what you were trying to find, but it was the first one to come to my mind with the locking clip blade, saw and stag handles. I've ogled this one and another similar model with 2 cutting blades (omitting the saw) from Boker for a long time, though they're not cheap; the double-lock feature is pretty rare in such knives. Very attractive knives though.
