Hi guys I am new to the forum and I was wondering if anyone here knows of a good knife store in PA/OH. There used to be a good store in one of the malls in Pittsburgh but it is no longer there. I am in the market for a new knive and I am not sure what I really want. I would like to be abe to handle some different knives but all the stores here have such a limited supply. Thanks.

Welcome to Bladeforums!

Good luck finding a store. Not many here in NJ. Maybe someone knows a good one near you.

I just came across a post on another subforum that might help. Knife shows are a great place to look over knives because you can talk to dealers, knifemakers, and fellow knife knuts.

I'm sorry this doesn't give you much lead time to plan to get there, but in the future, keep an eye on our Community Center for other notices.

I assume you are talking about the store in the Monroeville Mall. They had some great sales when they went out of business. I flipped a bunch of discontinued Benchmades on EBAY for a good profit.

I don't know of anything around PGH that has the variety that they did. The best place around now is Sportsman's Warehouse on Mt Nebo Rd just off of 279.
