I am looing for a knife. Years ago my grandparents bought a knife while out of the country. They bought my father a small knife. He later lost it while on a trip.

It was in the family for over 40 years before it was lost. I am trying to find a similar knife to replace the one that was lost.

I do not have a picture of it, but I can describe it.

It is stainless steel. The blade length is around 3 to 3 1/2 inch long, 7 inch when opened. It has a lock on the back of the handle. The handle also the 4 suit of cards engraved on the handle.

On the blade it had "Made in Brazil" stamped on the blade.

If anyone knows of a knife similar to the one described or what company made the knife, I would appreciate to know about it. I wish I could give more information or had a picture. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Tim

Oh lord.... That is gonna most likely be tough to find. I wish you luck, but I can't give you any nudges on where to look. Maybe Levine's forum? Other than that I got nothin.

That's a needle in a haystack for sure. Maybe try browsing around in the Traditional sub forum until you find one similar. They are an extremely helpful and pleasant crowd.

Check out Zebu Barretos. I know they make traditional knives in Brazil, but I have no idea how long they've been doing it or if they make the model you're after.
