I'm looking for what I consider to be the ultimate EDC folder....

3" blade
4"+ handle
Tool steel blade
Pocket Clip
One hand opening
Wood inlays or polished. "Gentleman" looking.

I want to be able to take it apart and clean/oil it on a regular basis. No stainless.

Can I get all this for under $200?

i'm not a benchmade guy, but there might be an M2 bladed folder that meets your criteria from them. good luck.

not sure it fits 100% with what you are looking for but seriously check out the Benchmade 707 Sequel. Standard version has Aluminium scales with G10 inserts and 154CM blade steel but there are many limited editions that can be found with wood inlays or carbon fiber scales and D2 steel. It's a 2.95" blade, just under 7" overall, axis lock, full steel liners, great little EDC knife thats pretty tough and looks nice too. They can be found usually for between $100 and $150 depending on whether or not its a limited edition. Good luck!!

Sypderco Manix C95. Only problem is it does not meet your "gentlemanly" requirement. It looks like an ass-kicker. ;)

It's not tool steel but I would go with the Spyderco Caly. Flat grind VG-10. great ergos, and solid lock.

As far as the "ultimate"...... good luck. I have tried that, and can't seem to find it;) :D
