Looking for a little Case to match a copper light

I recently picked up a Maratac AAA Cu light to give as a gift, and need a knife to match it.
Not realizing how quickly they tarnish/patina, I paired my own with a Cayenne Medium Stockman. They matched for about a week. I adore the knife, and can polish the light, so it works just fine for me.

For my dad, who isn't likely to fuss over such things, I want a Case which will pair more closely with the tarnished copper, and be about the same size.
He's an electrician/field service technician who retired once, but now runs an appliance repair business. He doesn't EDC, but usually has a SAK with him at work, and has a drawer-full of those Brinkman multi-5mm LED 3x-AAA lights.
The Maratac light is 2.7" long, so I'm thinking Peanut or Small Stockman. I like the peanut for its longer, more useful main blade - but I've always had a soft spot for the Stockman, and since the light is a 3-mode, I think it'll be clever (though probably completely overlooked by him) to include a 3-blade knife.
I know it's a matter of personal preference, but if you could state your reasons for preferring on over the other, or recommend another 2-5/8, 2-3/4, or 2-7/8" long model, I'd love to hear it.
Now, I really need to figure out which handle scales. I like the idea of the soon-to-be-released Autumn jigged bone with brass shield, but since it isn't out yet I can't hold it up next to the light to compare.
Do you have a jigged bone scale which matches an old, but not completely dark, penny?
Autumn, chestnut, old red, dark red, amber, harvest orange, brown, caramel, crimson, burnt stag, Oak (wood)? Other?
Thanks for the help and advice!

I don't know that they would match, but I think a yellow CV peanut would look good with the copper light, especially after they both form a patina. They would just have a kind of classic old timey look to me.

Sometimes, turquoise will display 'veins' of copper/bronze color. Seems odd initially, but I'd think something like that might be a nice complement to other copper objects. Case describes this one as 'Kingman Turquoise w/bronze', seen here in a small toothpick pattern. It's not cheap, but quite attractive:

Thanks guys. MDS - I hadn't thought about the yellow (though it is a classic.) Good point about the patina. Perhaps a chestnut bone Peanut CV is what I should be looking at.
OWE - That turquoise is nice, but a bit out of the price range. Not that he isn't worth it, but I just don't have that kind of scratch for this project. Otherwise, the new "exotic veined turquoise" might be just perfect.

You might find some aftermarket modified Case folders (& others) with turquoise scales, at something 'less', price-wise. Might look on the 'Auction Site'. I had the same reaction (nice knife, but yikes!), but thought I'd put the idea out there. I'd never really thought of matching up turquoise with copper, until I read your post. Then it seemed to make some sense, aesthetically.

Case has a burnt orange bone that would / could be close? If I remember right, they also have something called a barndoor bone that would go well with that light. ??? Of course - pearl goes with anything. Just ask any female...

BB - I found the Barnboard - but it looks to be more of a texture than a color. It comes in tested red, which could work, but isn't quite what I had in mind.
Burnt Orange sounds perfect - but I can't find it at the Case master dealers, google images, or the evil bay. I've located burnt stag - the burnt looks perfect with the copper patina, but the base bone runs anywhere from pale yellow through oranges to nearly brown. I think I'd need to force a patina on the light, and locate a dealer who had several examples on hand. Which, come to think of it, isn't a terrible idea - particularly since I have my own sample of the light. I just need to find the time... I also found the harvest orange, which was one of my earliest ideas, but I'm not sure that it's quite deep enough.
Regardless, thanks for the tips - and for making me think more about my options.

In case anyone's following this, I picked up the 9653 Autumn jigged bone Peanut with the brass shield. I took a look at it, and the color ranges from white to orange to really dark brown. Perhaps not exactly what I was hoping for, but the scales should nicely complement the light regardless of the state of its patina. I'm not going to get a shot of it because I'm not going to touch it, or completely remove the tissue wrap.
Right now, the light should still be bright copper (much like the one in the photo above) because it's vacuum-sealed in an anti-static bag. They do patina quickly once exposed to air.

Look for an autumn bone Case. I'll bet it'd look great with that light. I'd put up a picture if I had an autumn bone handled one. Have you looked at an amber bone? Ed J
