Looking for a little clarity for re-listing rules

You must wait 14 days (2 week rule) to relist an item for the second time. Once you list an item for sale, that item cannot appear for a second time in a sales thread until 2 weeks have passed from the date of the original thread. Any changes made to your existing sales thread (withdrawing, editing price, etc.) must be made to that thread, don't start new threads with the same items. Use a calendar if you need to. You can link your sales threads to your signature space, but don't make it a giant billboard.


There are a couple things a bit unclear to me.... you state:

And also:
don't start new threads with the same items

So which is it? I can wait to re-list an item 14 calendar days later, but it can't be the same item? Or are you saying from this line:

that I have to edit my original thread and clear it out with "Withdrawn" in subject and content before i can re-list the item?

Don't want to break the rules, so a little guidance here would be great with how i can go about re-listing my same item that did not sell 15 days ago.

Create a new thread after 2 weeks. The "don't start new threads" comment applies to changes...make the changes to the existing thread if it's within the 2 week window. After 2 weeks create a new thread.

You can relist the same item after 14 days, but don't start a new thread with that item included in it before the 14 says, such as with another knife for sale

What about re-posting a third time? Is that also an option? I don't see any detail around that.
