Hi, All,
Do any of you know of a lockback with a main blade around 3", plus a second, non-locking pen blade around 1-1/2"? I'd looking for a knife that can handle larger, rougher work but also finer, detailed work, but haven't found one with a locking blade.

Only multi-blade lockback I am aware of is/was a SFO Buck 110 that has a locking 110 clip point, and locking 112 clip point blade.
That big knife store in Tennessee had them a couple (or a few) years ago.

Why not just get a slipjoint that has the blade styles and size you want?
No blade lock does not equal "fragile" or "delicate"

I'd be all over a knife like that

Sorry, guy. I have a "Speed Hunter" with the main blade a switchblade, while the two other blades open manually.

I never carry it. My sainted aunt can't make sandwiches as thick as this folder!

Here's your chance to buy in! I was actually looking for another manufacturer of a knife like you described myself (that I once owned) when I ran across this one a few months ago:

Reputable manufacturer, hits your parameters, and sold through Bladeforums vendors. Even has an upgrade to stag handles if you want to spend the extra bucks.

Might try the traditional lines made by German and Italian cutlers. The German Jagdmesser models offered that type of combination a lot. The locking main blade, small pen versions were quite common through the 90's, but they mostly do them as special runs now.

For instance, Puma cataloged the #942 for many years -

Interesting find.
It says lockback, but the pics aren't showing it ??

A visit to the Boker site says:
The main blade is secured with a backlock, but does not have a classic rocker integrated into the handle. In order to close the main blade, the closed smaller blade is pushed slightly towards the handle, which releases the mechanism. The small blade itself functions as a slipjoint.

One of the Spyderco Dyad models sounds they might meet your needs.

I've seen pics on the interweb of these type of locks, but can't remember who made them or what their vintage was.

Kershaw Rancher model 2050.
Long out of production but can be found if you look around.
I believe this knife meets all your criteria.
I've got one that I bought in the mid seventies. Still in good shape but I never carry it anymore.
That Benchmade switchback would also be a good one.

I had never heard of the Benchmade 921. I like it so I went searching around looking for used ones. The prices people are asking make the Boker look like a bargain.

Moor Maker makes a couple of double lockbacks in various sizes, but I don't think any of them have pen blades. Might be worth a look. Camillus used to make some double lockbacks also, but I can't remember model numbers or configuration.
