Looking for a maker who would make just a blade, for an existing folder.

Hey guys,

I really like the simplicity of my small sebenza but would love to have one with a wharncliffe blade. Problem is, they don't make one. Are there any makers that can make me a wharncliffe blade that I can put into my sebenza?? If so, what would it cost in, say, BG-42 or maybe a CPM steel? Thanks.

Not to discourage you, Louis, but a while back I put out a general call for someone to make me a CPM blade for a Sebenza and the silence was deafening.

It is very difficult and time consuming to retrofit a blade to an existing knife. It would cost more in custom work than the Sebenza is worth to begin with, so now you have a $250 sebenza with $300-500 worth of custom work done to it, and the value of the knife wil still be $250.

Reese Weiland makes a frame lock knife and I am sure you can get him to design a wharncliff blade for it and it would put you in the $500 range for a true custom knife.
