I’m looking for a small micarta lockback with a 2-3 inch blade. I really prefer canvas or burlap micarta. Haven’t had much luck. I’m up for suggestions! Thanks!

I have owned/used both the Moki and a few of the #83’s. While I am a big GEC fan, I moved all the #83’s but the Fish Owl remains. Crazy nice knife at double its price.

The Fish Owl and GEC 83 have few similarities really. The former is austere, some might find it bleakly minimalist but its build quality and action are far ahead of the GEC knife. When open, you can barely SEE and cannot feel the transition between tang and spring. It's very light in weight. The GEC has looks, a much more old fashioned approach to its use of materials, bolster adornment , shields etc and uses brass and 1095, it is a beautiful knife but it is nowhere as precise and faultless as the Moki.

I have both, and would not part with any of them ! :D

There is a GEC 92 Farm & Field that is in delrin that's a nice tough lockback and their Mudbug is full micarta. But sourcing them will require patience, probably a fair bit of cash too, unfortunately.
