Ok, I posted a couple days ago about looking at a bedlam and have seen some positives and negatives in reviews. I still like the look of it but am looking for something that can fill both a tactical role and an edc role. Currently I am carrying a zt 0630. I like the robust feel of it but am not a fan of the Emerson fast deploy thing. I had a contego in m390 and can't remember for the life of me why I got rid of it. Have been looking at it again but probably would stick with the standard version unless there is a good deal on the m390. I am active duty infantry in the 82nd so the knife needs to be able to take a pounding but won't be used hard 90% of the time. So let's hear some options and pics are always a plus!

KW 810 ..One of the best deals out there right now..

Big fan of M4, EDC'ed the standard for a long time...just picked up the M390 and wondered what took me so long...M390 would be great in the field...only downside would be the heartbreak of being lost or stolen..

OK, not the 940, but the 9555, 950, or the 810-1401 would fit the bill.

Excellent choices loony.

If you haven't checked out the Crooked River, I'd suggest it for a durable tactical/edc blade. It's also available with g-10 slabs if you're not digging the wood version. The LFTI is a pretty stout framelock with a tanto m4 blade. The AFCK is a great choice, it was available as a liner lock at first but there were also some axis variants, as well as the 805 TSEK if you prefer thumb studs. The Vicar is an amazingly strong knife with an extra thick liner lock, just might not be the best choice for edc tasks. The Adamas is another tank like knife to check out, but I've never handled one of those. The 710 definitely deserves some consideration. It's a perfect compromise for a large blade and slim carry knife. Another one that might be worth a look is the auto triage, it's a bit bulky for me, but I'm sure some guys have no problem packing it around. If you can find a 610 Rukus, that's another monster blade to consider. A little thick in the handle, but it's a hell of a knife in the hand.

Wow! Those are some gorgeous blades you guys have posted. Now I have my work cut out for me narrowing down which one I want

I have a 950 Osborne that's been holding up well. You probably can't go wrong with a plain jane Griptilian either. It's just such a good useable design.

The contego is the best large folding user I have ever found. If you want a strong knife that will never slip in the hand, the contego is it. If you want a pretty knife to open mail you can look elsewhere. I am actually very impressed with the m4, and haven't had much issue with rust. It truly is a working man's EDC.
