I've been really enjoying my mini griptillian and my 940-2. But as of late I've been searching for another Benchmade that I can really put through good hard use. I've looked at the foray, pardue 531, and the mini barrage. Also some others I like. Any recommendations?

Next is the Knives Ship Free Exclusive Rukus....beast with a thinner & slicier blade.cant go wrong with either!!
One more.....Crooked River. Little bigger than the others.

908BK-1501
DLC coated M4 with Carbon fiber slabs.
Great steel, light platform, not too cold in the winter or too hot in the summer, plus it is rather durable to boot.

Along side of that, I would look for a 710 in M4, one was on the exchange not too long ago.

If you want a harder use knife, look at th 810 in M4. They made a rift in M4, but finding one is Very hard .

My go to production knife is the de-assisted 581 Barrage.
Just an amazing all around performer with M390 steel.

I own a Volli, a 531 and two Griptilians.

The 531 is a wonderful knife that is about two oz. in weight.

I bought the Volli to get something slightly smaller and thinner than my Grips. It does not see much pocket time because it is AO and the size difference with a Grip is less than I expected.

How about picking up a Ritter Griptilian as your new Benchmade? Many feel they are the best Grip Benchmade has ever produced.

I just bought a 531 myself and love it.

I'm also a big fan of the mini barrage and the Rukus that Joe mentioned above. Can't really go wrong with anything mentioned here.

My go-to hard use Benchmade is the Adamas. It might be a bit hefty for most peoples tastes but it suits me well as a outdoor/work knife.

I have also been enamored with the crooked river as of late.

I'd like to thank all of you that gave me your recommendations. After looking through all of my options and going through a checklist of things I like a knife to have. I decided to go with the Pardue 531 satin blade. The thinness, lightweight, and layered g10 is what did it for me. I'll let you know how I like it once I get it in hand in about 4 days.

Looks like you got one picked out. I was going to mention the strykers are on sale at knifeworks at the moment. Get one while you can.

If you are going for a knife for good, frequent hard use, putting it through the motion, I'm going to say the 531 probably isn't what you're looking for. 531 is a BM ultralight entry, with the 530, a more of a gentlemen folder in purpose with a more tactical contruction, grippier, form. It's still really thin, no liners and hence somewhat has flex. Better for subtle frequent carry that's sometimes needed.

Sequel 707?

Kinda same as mini-Grip with G10 scales, svelte handle with bottle neck and fat, Ritter like blade.

Looking at it more, it does seem very Ritter-esque.

The more I thought about. I realized that everytime I know I'm going to be doing any hard cutting. I usually grab my H&K large Axis more than anything else. And I started thinking about picking up a knife to carry at work since I am able to. And I decided the 531 would be a good option with the thinness and lightweight. I think I may upgrade to a Rift in the future. Cause my H&K is beat up pretty good. But for now it still gets plenty of pocket time. So I'm happy for now.

^^^ I want one ^^^ but for now I'll edc the voli I just got . Really like how thin the knife is . The one thing I never understood about benchmade . Why they don't do more insert liners . This one is done to perfection .
