Hello, I am looking for a new edc blade to order I currently edc a Benchmade 556 Mini grip, I really like it but the handle is a little small for my large hands and i am looking for something a little bit bigger and a little higher quality.

Some of the ones i have been looking at are:
benchmade 550 HG full size grip
Spyderco Stretch CF ZDP189
Kershaw Blur S30V
Spyderco Endura FFG FRN
Spyderco Gayle Bradley
Sog Trident

can anyone recommend me any other knives?

Im very open to any brand and im looking for something with higher end blade steel

im looking for around a 3"-3.5" blade length
It would be used for utility purposes at work

my budget is $250

If you really like the mini I would suggest the full-size Grip. The Spyderco Military would be another to try.

anyone have any input on the spyderco sage pocket clip? looks really weak from the pictures

I LOVE the wire Spydie clips. They are not weak at all. I don't really understand knives with overly-stiff clips (my Boker Exskelibur is the worst offender I have - it has a very thick ti clip that requires two hands, working hard, to clip into place), and IMO the wire Spyderco clips are among the best available. On a related note, I think the Sages are some of the nicest EDC knives on the market. The Sage 1 is an unbeatable value IMO, at around $80 on the 'Bay.

thanks, yeah i know what you mean about having to use two hands to use the clip, my kershaw skyline is really bad about that and it being so tight along with g10 it has ruined 2 pair of jeans pockets already :( i stopped carrying it sad cause i love the skyline

Can't go wrong with a FFG Endura. It's lightweight, solid and has some great steel (VG10). Plus, you could save some cash for future knives.

I bought a CF Sage about 2 weeks ago, been EDC'ing it since. What a great knife. I can't get over the quality of the whole package. It's like a $200 knife for $80!

It's a very nice knife, with S30V, titanium frame lock, and G10 scales. You can see it on the Fantoni factory site or Berettas US site. On the berettausa site look under "knives on sale" to find them. Should be available other places also.

The small one says 2.75 inch blade, but it compares to my knives that say 3 inch, much like a Delica or just slightly larger than a Leek. The large is Tyrade size, too large for EDC for me.

For the money I think it's a great knife with good finish and components.

skip the SOG ,
my vote goes for Spyderco Bradley .

The Sage is definitely a nicer looking knife but the Gayle Bradley gives a little more reach. I would consider either over the others in your list. I have two Grips and they're okay but, well...let's just leave it that.

Stretch CF all the way! Also, everybody else is gonna bash the SOG, but the Trident has relatively good quality.

Are you looking at folders only? You mentioned that you wanted higher quality steel, and one benefit of EDC'ing a fixed blade is that you can use laminated steel. I don't think folders can be made with laminated steel. A couple of months ago, I bought a fixed blade neck knife from custom knife maker Murray Carter, and I will never EDC another knife. It's fast, discreet, and sharp as hell. I used folders all my life, but probably never again, now that I know their limitations.

im not against fix blades at all, I have actually been looking at the Rat izula alot lately just havent pulled the trigger on ordering one, whats ur take on the izula?

It's fast

There's nothing fast about the deployment of a neck knife unless you walk around bare-chested on a remote desert island beach or something.

Discreet, sharp as hell, yes, fast no. :)
