Hello, i have recently come to find that while i love my Kershaw blur, spyderco para2, and CRKT m16-14... they are too big for edc. Im a student and want something i can throw in my pocket and forget about. Im talking 3 oz or under and a 3 inch blade or smaller. Knives im considering are a benchmade mini griptillian, a spyderco delica4 or a kershaw leek. Any other ideas?

Thanks in advance

Kershaw chill, look it up first thought when you hold it is how it matches its name. Plus you ant beat $18

Thats a cool knife, but im looking for something a little bit higher quality. Anyone own a SOG Flash I? How do you like it?

If it needs to be a one-hand opener I suggest anything with a spyder-hole over anything with a thumb-stud. I have a hell of a time flicking my mini-grip open without a lanyard, and I am not a fan of lanyards on EDC knives. If you really want a useful little EDC knife that will vanish into your pocket, I recommend looking into some slip-joints, particularly the peanut. I have my dad's old Queen peanut and it is my most treasured knife (next to the 'zaan). Look into Case's Damascus Peanut, DO WANT!
Edit: Should add that I have medium to small hands for a man.

dude, the flash 1 has some bladeplay, but i HEAR theyre strong. i dont own one. i have a sog twitch 2, and the blade is sloppy.
get a SAK
cant go wrong with a good old swiss army knife. especially Victorinox. Victorinox super tinker is what i have. chap, reliable, and a modestly sized blade

Yeah, I'd Get The Delica.
Or You Can Go Cheap And Get A Spyderco Persistence. Also A Good Little Knife.

Or A Byrd Meadowlark 2.

The new Strider SJ-75 is what your looking for. It will be one of the sharpest and best slicer you have ever seen. We have similar taste in knives. Best high end edc in that size and worth ever penny.IMO...See my review :

I believe that you would likely find the FRN FFG Delica ideal it's a very strong knife in regard to it's weight also the thinish FFG VG-10 blade can be sharpened to crazy levels of sharpness and cut like the dickens.

I like the Mini-Grip and the Para2...but I like my Mini-grip over my Para2. I prefer the axis lock and thumb studs. My mini is just easier to open and I like the grip better even though it isnt g10...it is my favorite blade!

My Favorite Knives In Order At This Point In Time...
Spyderco Paramilitary 2
Spyderco Manix 2
Spyderco Resilience
Spyderco Ukpk
Spyderco Delica

This May Very Well Change In The Next Few Weeks Once I End Up Ordering My Spyderco Chokwe.
As A Matter Of Fact... I Expect This To Change.

Some great suggestions! The first ones that came to mind were -

Mini-Grip
Spyderco Native (original)
Kershaw OD-1

All small knives with a big attitude. :)

I hope that you review the Chokwe, BC, as I am thinking about one for my next purchase as well.

i agree with the responses of anything between a delica and mini grip.

while it is a nice knife and seems to meet the length requirement, it's probably going to be bulky and heavy for what he is looking for, plus probably far more than he can spend looking at his other knives and student status.
