Right now I EDC the 20$ Inova LED light from Target. Not sure which model name or number it is. It's a good light, I like everything about it except it's a bit large. I'd like to find something with similar light output and battery life but in a more compact package. I've been carrying the light vertical next to my wallet, which is comfortable, but kind of a hassle to re-adjust when I use my wallet. I want one more compact so I can carry it in a front pocket and have it be comfortable as well.

I'm carrying a Fenix P3D almost daily right now in my front pocket, but that might be a big for some people. You should take a look at the P2D's and the P1D's.

I just got a Fenix L1D-CE and love it. I really like that it uses a AA battery.

You may want to try lighthound.com and see if they have any of the Fenix E1 series left. This is a single AAA battery and smaller than the Inova AA you have now. The emitter is similiar so output will be similiar. If I remember correct the maker discontinued them and they were about 20 dollars as well. You can still find a few on-line here and there and they were really well made with good run time.

You'll find that the Arc AAA Premium DS is similar in output and runtime to the Inova X1. It is smaller by quite a bit and very sturdy and reliable. It does not come cheap but nor does anything else really good in this world. All of the Fenix lights mentioned are larger than the Arc and all but the E0, E1 and L0D are larger and wider than the Inova, which is fairly thin by comparison. I hate to keep hawking the same product over here but it really is great.

I like my LUMMI Orb RAW NS.

Bit pricey, but I can honestly say it is the first flashlight I have carried that truely has not been uncomfortable at any time.

Downsides are hard to find batteries (Li rechargeables, though) and approximately 30min run time.

30 minute run time doesn't sound very appealing. The ARC AAA looks good, I might have to get that one sometime in the next month or so. Thanks for the help finding a light, if you know of any others I should consider let me know.

The Lowe's 2xAAA Inspection Light looks like good candidate for you.

I have the same Inova light as you do and the Inspection Light blows it away. Ceiling bounce shows significantly greater brightness and better tint. It's also a lot smaller in size so it should fit better in your pocket. These lights are available at Lowe's for @15$

Another review thread.

Failing that the Gerber Firecracker is another good choice at a smaller size than the Inova. Also @15$ from on-line retailers.
