So, after a week of searching, I have conceded that my edc of the last 8 or so years is gone. Although I have a box full of kershaws, bucks, cold steels, gerbers, etc..I've had a Meyerco Tactical Tant riding in my pocket day in and day out. It locked up tight, was beefy enough to hack with, but mainly it was the hole in the blade instead of a stud or flipper

Well...it posted in the middle of my typing..

Anyway, to get to the point, I'm looking for knives with holes in the blades rather than a stud or flipper, besides spyderco.

SAK Has several OHO options like the Soldier or OHO Trekker that uses a hole to open it. I loved the Soldier I had. Unfortunately someone swiped it out of my car. I really miss that knife.

I'm afraid you got the wrong forum for this question.
Traditional pocket knives don't usually have holes in the blade.

You can try a Benchmade Griptilian with the sheepsfoot blade and opening hole.

Or even an Mcusta Tactility with opening hole.

I really like that emerson. I wished it didn't have that wave thing on it. I do need to find one to handle before I drop 200 bucks too.

The ergos on all Emersons is always outstanding. The wave is actually a great feature but you can have someone grind it off if you want. However that voids the warranty. I'm not sure if you have any brick and mortar stores near you so handling might be difficult.

If you live near Harbor City, CA you can handle one at the Emerson showroom. Also BladeHQ in Lehi, UT will let you handle knives.

You could check out the Buck 830. I've been carrying it for a week or so and am pretty impressed overall. The lock is a bit finicky, but I'm warming up to it.

Another option, though I don't have one, is the Viper Free. The feedback seems pretty positive for it.

Benchmade "Bone collector" D2 steel. Axis lock.

2nd vote on the Strider SMF or SnG. I have a SMF, and it is remarkably light considering its size and blade thickness. If you prefer a smaller lighter blade, get the SnG

The Buck Vantage Pro is a high value edc knife. s30v steel, g10 handle, flipper and an opening hole. I like mine.

I have the bone collector, really like it but seem to grab the mini griptilian more often to carry, the bone collector is just a bit larger and heavier. But love both knives.
