Looking for a new EDC

Well I've kind of fallen out of love with my Sebenza and am looking to pick up one or two EDC's to take it's place. I was looking at the Benchmade 710 with M390 and or either the 950 or the 940 in D2. I just got rid of a Ti Military that was about the same OAL as the 710, so I kind of have a feel for how big the knife is but have nothing to compare the 940 to. I have also heard the 940 is lacking in the "grippy" department. If anyone has any feed back on these knives I would appreciate it.

The 940 series isn't too grippy, but I find that it has more than enough grip for me, without ripping up my pockets. It's also quite small in the pocket, moreso than you'd expect. The "height" of the knife (from the top to bottom of the handle when closed) is low, so it takes up much less room than other knives with similar blade lengths.

You might want to also look at the Zero Tolerance 0551/0550 or Spyderco Gayle Bradley. They're smaller than the Military or 710, and offer some grip without tearing your pockets.

I tried the 0551 and it really didn't do anything for me. I just ordered both the D2 940 and the M390 710. I've heard great things about both knives and can't wait to get my hands on them.
