I've been carrying an Izula for a while now as an EDC, and have come to love carrying a fixed blade, but I find the handle to be a tad short in my hand.

So, I'm looking to take a step up in size. I'm looking for something that'll take a 4 finger grip better than the Izula, but can still be pocketed. The frontrunners right now are the ESEE HEST and Bark River mini northstar but I'm pretty much wide open to suggestion. Budget is up to about $150 but thats flexible.

I know at this price range, it might be a good idea to look at some of the makers here, anyone have any pics of something along these lines?

If you get a chance, check out the Bark River Woodland Special. The handle is 3.5". A hair short of 7"OAL.

If you really like the simplstic style of the Izula but want a little longer handle check out the Swamp Rat Knives - Rat Warden. You can still get in on the pre-order in the SW subforum. I now have both and both are great little knives.

Don't forget about the Fallkniven WM-1. The handle is quite comfortable and the little VG-10 blade is awesome.

The Spyderco street beat is a great edc choice.
