Hey guys! so the title pretty much says it all, lately i've been looking for new a new or new fixed blades! But I'm torn with all the options, my first bigger question is whether i should buy one all around bushcraft/edc knife (for example esse4) or should i make a combo like (izula II and tops BOB)

what are your guyses opinions on this fact, which blades do you prefer? what kid of set up do you roll with? where do baby's come from?

all very good questions, looking forward to hearing your answers!!!

I watched a filmstrip once, so I feel qualified to explain where babies come from. . .

But first, the knives-
I carry a small fixed blade and a larger fixed blade when in the woods.
Small is invariably a Busse Skeleton warden, which is similar to an Izula in size.
Large is one of several 9+ inch blades.

I like smaller stuff for EDC use. I think an Izula is a fine knife for general use tasks on a daily basis. The ESSE 4 is more suited towards the outdoors, and more strenuous stuff, as you know. Still I see what your saying, as for me I like to have the right tool for the job when possible, and would recommend getting an Izula, and a bigger blade, (have no experience with TOPS), if you see the need for a large fixed blade, and not an Axe or Machete. While not exactly grab and go, I think you'll be better off in the long run.

An SAK and a Mora will serve you well for years and cost you next to nothing.

Since you mention TOPS, take a close look at their MIL-SPIE 3 fixie; it may very well be the last under 4" fixed blade you buy.
