Well its been awhile since i've had a thread like this so here ya go anyways.

I'm looking for a new fixed blade. Here's what i'm looking for:

1. Blade in between 4-6 inches
2. Some sort of guard on the side with the fingers.
3. I'd prefer a bowie or drop point style blade.
4. Stout blade around 1/8-1/4 inch thick
5. I'd like the blade plain meaning no baked on coats or the like.
6. Handle material doesn't really matter.
7. The price range: 50-100$.

Well thats what i'm looking for. So any ideas?

CRKT Polkowski/Kasper Companion meets pretty much all of your requirements, except for price: it can be had for well under 50 bucks. ;)

benchmade rant drop point seems like a nice knife and seems to meet all of your criteria and the extrema ratio shrapnel looks to be one of the sturdiest knifes on the market but is is expensive and does have a coated blade.

Actually i do plan on getting a ranger knife within the next year, but at the moment just looking for something under 100$:) . I'll check out that benchmade however.

RD 6 is under $100 ($89.95);) even cheaper in the link above, but I would prefer one with a flat grind.

No way! I thought they were around 110$? lol well i guess its between RD6 and benchmade. Hhhhmmmm.....

Could anyone post a good picture of the RD6? All the ones i have seen aren't that great quality.

Go to the knife makers forum and buy what you like or ask one to make you7 a REAL knife.
They are not that expensive..
