Hey guys. I am looking for a new folder with titanium sides or handles. I thought about buying Salties' Benchmade 750 but I cannot get him to answer me on this forum so now I am looking. I also like the look of the small sebenza insingo. I think the blade style would be nice. What got me looking is my cousin has a Bob Terzoula folder which he has had for over 20 years with titanium sides. I liked the feel of his knife as it was big but not heavy and seemed to fit in your pocket well. I looked up the price for a Bob Terzoula and it is probably higher than I want to pay. What do you think my options are since I cannot handle any of these knives?

I do not live far from the Texas coast, maybe 100 miles and I do go fishing down there so saltwater proof would be a plus. I have used D2 steel and AST34 steel with success. Are there other steels which will work as well?

First off, welcome.
Secondly, what Are you willing to pay?

The Bradford G3 flipper is a brand new good-looking folder from a company that makes quality fixed blades, if you want something out of the ordinary. I have not personally had any experience with the folder but I have a Guardian3 fixed blade that is perfect.

I have a Benchmade 710 which I like but my cousin's Bob Terzoula knife has a much better feel and size. The sides are thinner and better. So now I want titanium sides on my new knife.

You know I looked at the Kershaw Dimension online and what turned me off is the weight is 5 oz. which seems too heavy for a 3 inch blade knife. Being a titanium knife it should be lighter in my opinion.

ZT0801 0808 0900 and 0450 for starters. DPX is coming out with an all Ti to the nines Hest. Should be coming out soon if you can wait. With those suggestions, you certainly will never go wrong with a Sebenza!

Welcome to the forum!

My favourite titanium handled folders are, in no particular order, the Sebenza, ZT 0801 and Protech TR3 Integrity. All three are excellente knives with very good fit and finish, high quality blade steel (S35V on the CRK and Protech, Elmax on the ZT) and good size for most tasks.

The ZT is probably the better deal out of the three, since it can be had for under $200 and has some features the others don't (steel insert on the lock, KVT ball-bearing system).

If you need something larger, there's always the Spyderco Ti Military.

You mentioned a Sebenza. Go with one if you want the best Ti framelock available(IMO of course).
I know you can't handle any, and this would also be a safe bet as you could sell it pretty easy if you didn't like it and wanted to try another type.

If you're okay with a 3" blade, one of my favorite folders is the Spyderco Sage 2...titanium scales.
I love this model. It might well last you a good twenty years...saltwater and all. Just rinse it later in fresh water when you can.

If you're looking for light and easy to carry, the ZT450 is a great suggestion. Worth checking out. Even thinner and easier to carry than I expected when I ordered mine.

The ZT450 has caught my eye. It is nice and light and looks easy to carry. The point is what bothers me a little. I wonder how it will work for digging out bullets.

I am still trying to look up all the knives you guys have list here for me. It will take some time. I do want the knife to be something I will carry all the time.

Just saw your visitor message this morning and replied to it regarding the BM Pinnacle 750 I have.

ZT0900, Spyderco Techno, Sebenza, ZT0808.... lots of Ti options out there with good steel.

Are you wanting all Ti scales like a Sebenza? Or are you ok with Ti made but has an outer scale like a Spyderco Domino or Hinderer?
