Hi all im new to this forum. Im in the market for a good knife all my knives in the past have been fairly decent bench mades cold steel ect. Im looking for an everyday carry knife not a lot of frills and polish no fancy woods ect. Just a good piece if steel maybe a rugged no slip handle. I really like the neck knives from crawford. Whats everyone elses opinion.

Good steel + grippy handle + no frills? Get a Delica or Endura, depending on what size blade you prefer:

Spyderco uses VG-10 steel and FRN with a "volcano" grip that is very effective on these excellent EDC's.

Thanks. Maybe down the road i know the prices reasonable with those. Im looking into cheaper custom knives. I seen a knife at aa forge that i really liked but i dont wanna wait.

In general, just my experience, a good small fixed custom knife can run from 85-120.00. There are a lot of great custom makers with smaller edc knives, some of my favorites are Duck Childress knives, East Branchknives, and GL drew knives. Adam at AA forge is also a great maker. Another one is Big Chris, you will see his stuff come up for sale. Check out the exchange here for great stuff which comes up, the fixed blade and the custom individual sections. Let us know how it goes.

Neck knives are mainly impractical and can endanger your health. They are better attached to gear than your neck, or carried in a pocket.

The reason i like neck knifes is because theyre conciealibe. Id love to have a big knife on my side but id look too hillbilly and custom folders are to expensive. I really have to love the knife. Anyone have anymore custom makers that might have knives on hand and have a website. That would be really useful. Thanks all.
