looking for a new knife

I was looking for a new knife in the $50-$90. I'm leaning towards the Buck/Strider 882 with the g10 handles and Ats-34 steel. I can get it for $90 on E-bay.

I was wondering if any of you had any suggestions of any other knives that would be better in the above price range. I know there is better knives, but for more money. I did look at Spiderco, but the Military is about $20 more. I also don't like the clip not being able to be moved.

Other knives I have had/used that I don’t care for: Cold Steel Recon, Camillus Cuda quick draw, Camillus Heat, and various CRKT’s.

I will be using the knife on duty. I would prefer it not to have any serrations, but am willing to have a 50/50. Any input will be appreciated.

Did I piss someone off? I know some of you guys have to have some suggestions. Or maybe this topic has been ran into the ground and its a boring topic. If this is the case I will try to do a search.

Try the Ontario Rat1 folder or the Rat3 in D2. The Rat folder is awesomely tough and takes a wicked edge. It is easy to sharpen being AUS-8 you can get one for about $60 also 4-clip positions. The Rat3 is a small fixed blade in D2 takes a wicked edge also and is way high on the cool factor. I had a Buck/Strider 882 SBTG, awesome little knife great size and steel(BOS treated). Just a little heavy for everyday carry. I can recommend anything from Spyderco, Benchmade, EKI, Timberline, AL Mar and many others. Shop around before you buy. I hope this helps.

I do not think you piss anybody, sometimes people just busy. You will have enough input.
If you willing to get your knife on eBay (I do it often) and you can wait, you will see sometime good deals.
I saw BM Ares NIB sold for about $90, also BM Griptilians with 154CM and D2 in your price range at street price. BM 710 is a good choice, but to be within your range you will be able to get slightly used, which should be OK if you are planning to use.
Also keep watching our and BM forums. Members sell knives there and sometimes good deals. I saw used BM 710 and Ares for $70.
Regards,
R
