Looking for a new one hand opener, picky about what I like.

Ok, I have gotten away from carrying a OHO. I carry traditionals now that have multiple blades. While making the switch I got rid of every single bladed, pocket clip-able knife I owned. Every so often I feel like I would like to accompany my traditionals with a longer, easier opening, locking knife. In the past few years I have tried and carried a bunch of pocket knives. I have some favorites out of the bunch and may revisit one or two but for the most part all had something about them that I just didnt like. It may have been the handle design or blade ratio or heck even as shallow as I didnt like the way it looked or it didnt carry right in my pocket. So for this little experiment lets just say these are off the table for suggestions.

0560
Military
Para-Military
Manix
Sage series
Umnumzaan
Lionsteel

A few paramiters for the knife:
Budget: Like to keep this below $200 or close to it
Blade length: 3-5 inches
Closed length: 4.5-5 max
Made In America
Prefer a frame lock

Look forward to the suggestions folks

Spyderco Police might be worth a look.
I avoided it for a long time because I thought it would be too big. Finally broke down and got one and its become one of my favorites.
Available in G10 or SS

I had forgot about the Police. Is it made in the USA? The serrated option is nice. Wish they would make a para2 or military with fully serrated edge. Might have to hunt an old one down. Kind of looking for advice on Benchmades as well.

If I may humbly The Kershaw Leek in S30V, it seems to fit most of your criteria very well. I have one, and it's very nice. Smooth opening, flipper, stonewash finish, G10 handles, and best of all, made in America.

That 790 looks nice. You mention Benchmade but want a frame lock. Are you open to the Axis lock? I love my 710, it can be opened and closed with the same hand.

What I want changes constantly lol.

Frame lock is my number one choice. I have never owned a benchmade but here good things. Had an old cold steel recon with their lock that was like an axis lock, I had no complaints.

Something like the leek is nice but I want stout. I have very thin slicing blades on my traditionals, thicker and less slicey is prefered. Ill look at those two BM models, thanks.

I should also note that while flippers are ok I am not a big fan of assisted knives.

Its made in Japan.

Frame lock is my number one choice. I have never owned a benchmade but here good things. Had an old cold steel recon with their lock that was like an axis lock, I had no complaints.

The Police3 is a mid-positioned backlock with a David Boye Dent. Not the liner lock you prefer, but I kinda like the backlocks.

Benchmade is worth checking out. I pretty much gave up on BM a few years ago because I got tired of their poor QC, BUT I understand they have made some major improvements in that area the last year.

If you want stout, check out the Zero Tolerance's. My EDC is a ZT350KW, but that one is an assisted opener, so you might not like it.

Benchmade 755.
It's smaller like the Leek and is definitely beefy and stout.
M390 steel and a Frame Lock.

Others that fit the guidelines are:
ZT 0550 - you didn't mention this one, it's a one hander, s35vn steel, ti frame lock, under $200 and made in the USA.
Bradley Alias 1 or 2
Benchmade 760 LFTi
Benchmade 790 Subrosa
Pro-tech TR-3 Integrity - You can find one in your range from time to time.
Surefire Jekyll
Surefire Charlie

If you'll consider outside the USA:
DPX H.E.S.T. 2.0 fits your guidelines well other than made in the USA. It's made in Italy by Lionsteel.
Boker Epicenter - Titanium Frame Lock with VG-10 steel.
Boker Anso 67 - I've had my eye on this for a very long time.
Spyderco Techno - A little shorter - But a tank.
Spyderco Tuff - You can sometime find one in your range
H&K Conspiracy - Truly a great knife and an awesome folder

Good luck!
