I've had a few knives before to know the features I like and want in a knife, but I've yet to really find a sum of all these features in a single knife. Would anyone know of a production knife that would fit the bill at all?

Type: Non-assisted folder
Lock: AXIS/similar, Liner-lock
Opening method: Thumb-stud
Blade length: ~3"
Blade steel: High corrosion resistance, decent edge retention (e.g. 154CM, VG-10, S30V, etc.)
Blade grind: Flat grind, the higher the better
Blade shape: Anything with belly (e.g. drop-/clip-/spear-/spey-point)
Handle material: G10
Price: ~$100

I was about to suggest the Spyderco Sage 3 and Manix 2, when I reread your post and saw the part about thumb studs. What's wrong with thumb holes?

Yeah as I noted before, I strongly prefer thumb-studs, so Spydercos generally don't work for me. I have a couple Spydercos already that I don't care for ergonomically. I just personally find opening with a thumb-stud much easier than opening with a thumb-hole. I wouldn't mind a compression lock, but I can't think of any non-thumb-hole examples.

I have a full-size Griptilian that I love in every way except for one: Plastic handle. I've considered the Mini-Griptilian, but would love to find something in G10 instead.

With those specs I would go with the Benchmade mini-griptilian.

My father carries on everyday, even when he is off and just sitting around he has it clipped to his sweat shorts lol....

I'd say check out the Bladeforums Kershaw Skyline. It hits on most all of your requirements.

Depends how you dress for work. Jeans or slacks? Warehoue worker or office worker? You never want to intimidate some idiot in rhe office by pulling out a honkin full size knife. I was carrying my Spydy Caly Jr f/s but just got a Kershaw Leek 1660 Nonserated. Very nice EDC (love it) for a great price and I have many many quality knives (BM, Spyderco, etc). Good luck. I'm sure you will find something you like with all the great advice on the forum.

The mini-griptilian has a much more solid feel than the full size grip, just saying. I have both and can really tell the difference in hollow-plasticy feel in the full size as compared to the mini. Give it a shot the 556 is such a simple useful design

The Spyderco DiAlex Junior doesn't meet all your criteria but it might be worth a look...

Mini grip, then save a little and throw down on some cuscadi scales. Worth every penny.

Well I do have a 585 Mini-Barrage, which isn't nearly as hollow feeling as the 551, so I'm assuming the 556 would be similar. I'd still much prefer textured G10 though.

I'm a college student and generally wear jeans. Being a student though I'm looking for something a little less flashy. Assisted-opening knives are a no go for me, as are any that are larger than 3" to 3-1/4"

So far it looks like the Skyline and the Mini-Grip fit the bill the best, still wondering if there's anything out there that fits it better though.

I don't think there is. I thought this would be easy at first, but every knife I can think of is missing at least one thing.
Also: I've heard complaints about the Skyline's thumb studs. I think the knife's supposed to be used as a flipper.

+1 on the cuscadi scales. Slap them on your griptilian and your good. Did it with my full sized ritter grip and it's my favorite folder now.
