Lately Ive been looking to upgrade to a nicer knife.
(Scrap yard, Swamp rat, Custom Bushcrafters, you think of one).

Sorry Ethan, no offense.

Ive been searching high and low.

Lots of nice ones out there.

When its all said and done, I already have a nice knife.

Its my go to knife.

A BECKER BK2

Best knife for the money and a whole lot more, Thanks Ethan.

I went out and got me a swamp rat mischief 6. I just traded it for a bk9 and bk7 with micarta. Its true what they say, can't beat the value and performance and that's why even those that stray always come back again

Hard to beat these knives. Quality to price ratio is outstanding.

I would just get a good pocket knife like ZT, Benchmade, Spyderco etc etc. I have ESEE and Becker. I had a higher end fixed blade BRKT but returned it cause the g-10 had a good size chip and it was all ready rusting when I got it. I was disappointed so went back to the basics. Between my BK, ESEE, and Condor machetes I have the fixed blade taken care of.

Anything made by ESEE, BlindHorse Knives, Kabar, or BKT is gonna fit the bill.

If there is a specific build in mind that you have, contact some of the custom makers here, I know you will get a great knife for an amazing price going through KFU (has a forum here).

Other than that, stick with Beckers, they are the batonniest. (real word, too. :D)

I finally picked up an Esee 4. Though mostly because all my small utility knives were stainless and I wanted something tougher. Also these tweeners are taking their sweet merry time.

Haha!! you're funny!! (No, not really)

Just kidding bro, hey, if you liek the stupid serrations and such, then go for it, it's your money.

Good, I'm glad you were kidding, I hate gerbers
You shouldn't buy from only 1 maker, get some Ka-Bar too!!!

I had an LMF 2 for a spell and my only complaint was the serrations were on the wrong side. I'll see if I can find an image of what I'm talking about, but chiseling serrations on the left side of the blade makes them useless for us right handed folk. Though if you're a lefty LECTER it's a nice knife.

I know what your saying homeslice. I had a Gerber Prodigy for about a year and got fed up with it and I traded that and a couple other things for a Brand new Bk2 (Can see pic of it in my sig)

I couldn't agree with you more. I've went out and tried several other high-end brands and still come back the to Beckers.

Can also see a WTB Gerber Prodigy in your sig... why?

The BK2 is definitely a beast. I am really liking the RMD I got too though. But for sheer toughness, its hard to beat a Becker.

My young nephew really like the knife and doesn't want to spend $30 dollars on it. (Like I said, he is young) If I would have known this before I traded teh knife, I would have gave it to him. 'Nuff said.

If he's young, do him a favor and buy him the nicer knife, Like the BK11 or BK14 (with parent's permission) and get him started down the right path!
