I'm looking for something about $100, tough, and dark enough so that your eyes can't be seen.

Also, online places to get them or any info about sunglasses in general would be appreciated.

I just ordered a pair of Gargoyles Classics (Terminators.) I got 'em in silver (mirrored.) I had a pair, in black about ten years ago and they were great, so back I go. Ordered them from "Sunglass House.com", they've got lots of brands, you can get there through: www.thestorehouse.com

Gargoyles are great, I have had several pairs over the years. They are highly impact resistant, however like all polycarbonate lenses they sratch easily. The best prices I have found on them is at www.dillonprecision.com, the progressive ammo reloading company. They range from $59 to $69 for the classics.

However if you want to enter a whole new world in sunglass performance check out Ocean Waves, polorized glass lenses with your choice of blue or green reflective coatings, the diffrence over the Gargoyles is unreal. I purchased a pair of Chicago style with Backwater Green lenses and they blow me away every time I put them on, dark enough, but not so much as to be a problem in low light conditions. The best prices I have found is at www.eyesave.com, $125 and worth every penny. You will not be disapointed, and glass is VERY scrath resistant.Regards,
Rick

Thanks, I'll check that out...

Any other reputable brands worth considering? Oakleys? Ray-bans?

I like my Ray-Ban Cats... got a pair 10 yrs ago cuz they fit inside my Shoei lid perfectly. Now I'm on my 3rd pair, haven't found anything I like better.

what you need is a pair of NIKE's. they are sweet. the plastic frame can be bent around your finger and it springs back.awesome optics, very clear. best of all the lenses can be changed to many different shades.thanks to NIKE for pics and info

Check out the Wiley X line:

http://www.wiley-x.com/index.htm

They are used by shooters and, reportedly, Secret Service agents. Large selection of lens tints and colors. Usually under $100. I have a pair with a Crimson Brown lens. Excellent for shooting or any situation where you needed to reduce glare and sharpen contrast. I notice a difference compared with my Oakley Mumbo's, and prefer the Wiley X for most situations.

Dude,

I pack seven pairs of oakleys.. .
