Hello All.

I trust that you are well.
I am looking for a fixed blade "survival type" knife. It has been featured in a couple of outdoor type magazines. It is a short, red handled knife with a sheath. A friend told me about this knife but he failed to recall the maker

If you have any info or know someone who doe, I would SURE appreciate your writing me about it.

Thanks so much and have a happy holiday season.

Take a look at Dozier Knives www.dozierknives.com. Bob makes a Wilderness Model, the KS - 7 and a few other outdoor style knives, listed under the hunting section. Some of them have red Micarta handles, and I know he was recently written up in Tactical Knives. Good Luck

start with the mora's indicated by Myakka and Dullone, use them as measure for all future "survivial knieves"!!!

I found the knnife that was featured in the Field and Stream July 2004.
It is The MORA #760 Wilderness Knife. You guys were right. I knew I could count on my fellow BladeForum guys.
Carbon Steel KJ Eriksson knife customized by Mors Kochanski features a Tanto blade.
I am buying this knife for hiking, hunting and such. You cannot go wrong at only 10-11 dollars.

Thanks again you all! Here is a good llok at it.
