I'm looking for a particular type of knife which I've been in search for quite some time now. I need help in finding similar knives if possible guide me to places where I can possibly find one of such pieces? I've checked stores in Toronto region, but so far there was no luck. Any place where there is a greater chance of getting one such piece?

I lost one of the pieces that I had and would like to have one for me as well. Is there any good stores to check out knives, pls do refer them too. I've moved in couple of days back and everything is a mess. In some time now, cleaning service will be here to fix the whole place and then the whole unpacking needs to be done. This whole week I might be busy with things, and it will only be on week-end that I will be checking out the stores for the knives. By then, I think, I might find a good place to check out. Thanks guys.

Welcome!

To post pictures, you'll need to upload them to a free photo-hosting site such as Photobucket. Copy and paste the IMG link into your post and you're good to go.

I would describe the knife in more detail so we can better help you.

PS. I would also delete that link in your second paragraph. That could be considered spam.

Paid members can upload pictures from their computers, but anyone can open a photo hosting account.*

Go to your Photobucket album.
Click on the picture you want.
Go to the right and see Links to share this photo
Left click on IMG. It will flash Copied. Paste into your post.

2. Another way: go to*http://www.imgur.com*and upload your image.*
After uploading, select the BBCode option - it starts with .*
Copy & Paste to your thread.

To post a pic which has been uploaded to Imgur, right click it, then select "properties". Then copy the "web address".

The top knife is the one I'm talking about. It was a gift from my uncle and I think he got it from Dubai I guess. It comes with a nice leather sheath. What attracted me is the design that went into the knife, and the one I had really a classy shine.

Why is there a link to a cleaning service in his OP? Is that advertising?

Knowing Which cleaning company that is coming to help has no bearing on where he could find a knife...

Sorry I am off no further assistance, I just find it odd that one would go through the trouble of linking to a cleaning service in a question about finding a knife, but doesn't post anything other than a photo of said knife (makers mark, size, materials, detailed photo of tang stamp, a guess at an age, Anything...)

One place you could try would be to look up an antiquities dealer and see if they have anyone who specializes in swords/knives and their craftmen. By doing so you might at least be able to get some information regarding the design, age, who has created knives in a similar fashion.

Good luck in your hunt, that is part of the thrill of knife hounding.

If I'm not mistaken, the top knife has
www.kizlyar.ru
Engraved on the blade, which would make it a kizlyar (kizlyar supreme, a quality Russian knife manufacturer), which were only more recently introduced to the united States, (not sure about Canada). But, that said, knowing the maker should help you track down and find the knife in question.
