Looking for a pocket slip - don't know if it exists

Like the title says.

I've had "knife pockets" sewn into the side pocket of my work pants and found them to be my favorite way of carry. They hold the knife upright pretty much right at your side, not toward the front or back. The one pictured below is holding a full sized Opinel #8 comfortably but smaller knives work fine too as in the other pic.

I'm looking for a pocket slip to work just like that. To clip right there in the corner of the pocket and you remove the knife for use leaving the slip in the pocket. A lot of the ones I've seen, it seems like you gotta remove the slip from your pocket to get at the knife easily.

It'd be nice if it was fairly cheap and durable for work too. I want the sun, moon, and stars. Any ideas?

knivesshipfree.com may have something like you're looking for. They are a paid dealer sponsor here at Blade Forums.

Off topic I know but dang!!, the last time I was that skinny was on my way to 250 lbs.:)

Having those pockets sewn into your pockets is a good idea.

I actually am a new customer of knivesshipfree and so far I am impressed. They have a bunch of different options for pocket slips and leather sheaths that can be used for traditional knives. If you buy two GEC's (in one order) you get a pocketslip free and there are a lot of options, they would be my first option to check out.

Does it have to be a pocket slip ? I carry my Eureka Jack in a cut down ballistic material belt pouch and the pouch unlike any of the leather pouches i have rides so unobtrusively i hardly know it is there and of course i have unrestricted access to my pockets. Here is a picture,it aint pretty but it works...

 I prolly weigh 210 or so, but I don't look it. They stacked the fecal matter high in my case.

You can feel free to contact me and I have lots of different pocket slips and doohickeys that might fit your needs. I also have a few items in the knifemakers gadgets and gear section of the forums. Good luck on your search.

I'm definitely not a traditional knife collector or user, nor do I want to take business away from Redbeardo, but maybe the Skinth P1/P2 would work for you?
Just thought I might throw that out there as an option if you didn't know about it.

Those are really nice, I love stuff like that.

I have gotten used to the configuration of that sewn-in pocket however and love having nothing toward the front or back. Those all seem to fill the pocket from what I saw. Carrying right at the side seems to be out of the way. It's approximately where a modern folder will clip.

I went back to carrying one of those for a bit and when I returned to a slipjoint it was like coming home.

Check out William Henry Knives (manufacturer). They make a selection of pouches that clip in the corner of the pocket and work as you described. They work better if the knife has a lanyard attached.

They are not terribly hard to make either, fyi, if your looking for a new hobby

This one isn't exactly what you describe but the same principal I think? Was planning to make one to carry saks in as well

slightly different version

I know a kydex bender goes by sonil around here was working on a inside pocket sheath that would stand the knife up and to the side then had a wave like feature to
Keep it in the pocket when you retrieved the knife. Not sure if he ever got it to work properly or if it could be done easily in leather.

Not the prettiest but works pretty well. Simple leather card holder I received from KSF that riveted on a titanium clip/bottle opener. Since I received my GEC Radio I put a bolt through it (it used to swing to access opener). This is my holdover until KFC gets some more clipped pocket slips in.

You could always get a regular pocket style pouch like the ones mentioned from KSF and the attach one of the Nite Ize self-locking clips to it. Google search it and you will see what I mean. I have no experience with them, but have often considered doing the same thing. I believe they are self-adhesive but are reported to hold very well.
