Does anyone know where I might be able to find one of these? It's a Moose made by Winchester/Bluegrass Cutlery several years back.

Thanks!

Ron,

Check with Mike Latham at: http://www.collectorknives.net/

You can also try Clarence Risner at: http://www.crisnercutlery.com/

I'm not sure but Sooner State Knives may have carried some too.

I have the stag handled Case Classics version of the same knife that I got from Jim Parker several years back. (Same manufacture except a spey in place of the spear.)

Email me or PM if I can help further.

(Also, you may want to post in the "Knives Wanted" section of the forums.)

Blues, it looks like Clarence Risner may have one with a jigged bone handle. Thanks for the info!

Ron,

I was just going to ask you to call me as I saw that same one on Clarence's site.

Call him at the number on the home page (and follow up with email). He's a nice man and will pull the knife and hold it for you if he still has it in his collection.

I've bought several from him over the years and still have a couple of his Winchester's currently.

BTW, that's old "Utica" bone they use on those bone handled knives.

Elliott,

I just sent him an email. I would call, but I'm sitting here in the Sandbox again for the next few weeks. Hopefully, I will hear back from him today.

Thanks again!
Ron

I'll call him for you in a minute or two, Ron and get back if I get through.

Ron,

I called him. He said he's not sure if he still has one or not. I asked if he'd check and put it aside for you.

I also told him it was okay to recontact me if need be and I'd take care of the details if you aren't in a position to. You can get with me when you get back in that case.

Keep your fingers crossed. I imagine he'll either reply to your email or call me, one or the other (or both).

I guess we can take this to email or pm so as not to bore everyone else at this juncture. ;)

Thanks, zeppos! I removed it. Now, if you would be so kind as to remove it from your message, I would appreciate it!

Thanks!

Someone seems to have done it for me :) (However, i had added XX at the front and the back of your email address. Should at least have kept the spambots at bay i guess)

Hey, Blues! Clarence had one (actually, he has two!) of the Winchester Moose's with the old Utica jigged-bone handles and is holding it for me! Thanks for telling me about him!:D

My pleasure, Ron. I was actually wondering why he didn't call me back afterward but I had told him to deal directly with you unless he needed me to send him payment to get the deal done.

Good job and thanks for keeping me posted.

I think you're gonna like that knife.
