That is being made in Japan or the US, either production or custom, for less than 200 bucks.

Thanks.

Your criteria reduces your choices quite a bit. About the only quality production push dagger currently being made that meets them is the TOPS Grim Ripper http://www.topsknives.com/product_info.php?cPath=1&products_id=78 .
Other than that you are most likely looking at custom knives. If you would go double edge there are many more choices including on of the best , the Cold Steel series. If you want one made in Japan you may have to look but there are quite a few out there for sale.

There should be a bunch of such knives available that were sold by Cold Steel.

The Japan made ones were nice, as I recall. Cold Steel has pretty much offerred these push-knives on-and-off from the mid-'80s on.

Also, for $200 you should be able to get a custom from a plethora of makers.

Let me know if you find anything. Only thing I can think of that is close is a Hide Away Knife and a KaBar TDI. Not quite push knives, but close. The HAK might be a good place to determine what a custom might cost.

You may be able to find a single edged version made by Mike Irie at around $200. I've seen his push daggers now and then at EDC Knives, Moore Cutlery and Grand Prairie Knives.

The cheapest one that I can suggest outside of the various "skinning" type knives, but the one that I do have is the Cold Steel Safekeeper 3. They are around 40 bucks, but it sure does come in handy.

Wilson Tactical? Might be just at or a bit above your range though.
Personally, I find the SK3 from Cold Steel to work just fine, though some sheath work is necessary.
If this is more for "collection" purposes, also look into some of the stuff from Fred Perrin.

Ok, what are you going to be using it for? And why only a single edge? Remember, the more information you give people, the better they can answer your question. I like the Cold steel ones, and I carried a minipal on my keychain for years. Some of the larger ones were nice to. Mantis has the "wicked" which is an interesting one, though I think it has 2 edges. For what you are willing to spend, you should be able to get something decent from a custom maker as well. And then you can get one made to exactly suit your needs.
