Have always preferred a recurve blade, looking for an EDC folder with recurve blade in a premium/super steel with 3.5" or under blade. Hoping you lot can help.
Currently have a Kershaw Blur and it's close to perfect, love me some S30V, but I'm not at all a fan of the assisted open or the lack of a flipper tab or flared frame to protect the fingers while in hard use. This thing seriously jumps out of my hand when I open it, it's ridiculous.
Anyway, I don't really know of any manufacturers that dip much into recurve. Ken Onion designs are the only I know of. I'm open to mass produced, private label, single batch, custom, etc... anything, up to $1000. For whatever reason that's the line I've drawn with knives. So.... anyone? Anything?
No gos: any locks that are on the back of the frame. Easy one handed operation is essential. Also a fidgety worthy system is desired, so frame lock flippers and axis locks are my favorite!
