I'm looking for a medium sized multitool. Something under $50 preferably. Needs to have pliers and screw driver. Any suggestions? Thanks.

The SOG Powerlock can be had for about $60 with shipping. Excellent multitool with very nice pliers. I have a buddy who has carried one for years (including a naval deployment to the Mediterranean) He has used it hard and has had no problems. They are a bit big, though.

If you need a smaller multitool, the Leatherman CS4 Juice is an excellent option.

Leatherman Juice should fit your need and be about the right size. If you just want a reliable multitool then just get a weatherman, just about all of their multitools are excellent.

Leatherman Rebar. good mix of tools, very sturdy, and pretty reasonable price.

Good choice, even better with a Micra for scissors and other implements to supplement the Rebar. With careful shopping, both can be found for @ $50. With those two multi-tools, you can do it all (within reason;) .)

Leatherman skeletool its a little pricey depending on where it is purchased but it is a good tool.

Every multitool mentioned in this thread is generally regarded as good and reliable. Leatherman, Victorinox, SOG and maybe others all fill those requirements, each with its own advantages, so it really comes down to what you do with them and your personal preferences. I would say pick one, anything that especially appeals to you or is priced right, and try it out. If it works for you, you're done. If not, move on to another and see how that does. That has been my path and I'll bet also most of the others who post here.

Leatherman Wave is all you need. Shop around for used or hit up craigslist for one, should be able to find one close to 50 bucks if you don't ask the seller too many questions!
