I have a kershaw 1670 from wally world. I have fallen in love with this knife. It has served me well from cutting everything,Including me. Have to say this has been one of the best all around knives i have owned in many years. So i am kinda looking at the Cold Steel American Lawman . And looking for some input.
How well does it hold a edge overtime and use and such. and if there are other knifes to look at that work and feel as the Kershaw 1670. Holding a edge, Feel, deployment,Balance, is what matters to me. Thanks everyone :)

If the regular Blur has served you so well, you could just replace/upgrade it by getting a version with a higher-end blade steel. Kershaw makes an S30V Blur as part of their regular production lineup, and there have also been sprint runs with composite blades using a variety of higher-end steels for the cutting edge (kershawguy has blems of the ZDP-189 version here).

If your blur is in 14c28/13c26, it will probably have comparable edge holding to the CS american lawman (Aus-8). Personally, I've found 13c26 to hold its edge noticeably longer than Aus-8 and I prefer the sandvik stuff, but most folks would probably put them in about the same 'category'.

I'd second Neuron's recommendation - if you like the blur, you can always just upgrade to one of the models that feature premium steels (such as ZDP-189, CPM154, or S30V).
