Hey guys!

First, this place is a wealth of knowledge. I've spent the last month researching FB knives, and was able to buy my first yesterday. I picked up a Bushfinger and now need a sheath. I am looking for a simple fitted leather sheath. Nothing fancy, but will last. Any recommendations or available pieces would be much appreciated.

Thanks again for being such a great community,

Parker

Rick Lowe has made a couple sheaths for me as well. He will take your order and turns them around very quickly. His service is second to none that I've worked with. Great guy!

He is listed in the thread referenced as well.

I just purchased my first Fiddleback as well and had it sent to Rick Lowe to get a leather over kydex sheath.

Rick has made sheaths for many of the Fiddleback models, so for the Bushfinger, you would not have to send in the knife if you want it in leather. I'm super confident that Rick has that pattern. If you want Kydex, you would have to send in the knife due to the variance in the hand made knives. Depending on how busy Rick is, he might be able to turn a sheath around in a week or so. His work is stellar. There is another member in addition to Bonafide who goes by wildmanh (Heber) who used to regularly post sales threads on Andy's subforum. I see he has not posted one in quite a while (over a month), so I am not sure what the story is with him. You can see some of his work here http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/s...ather-sheaths-for-06-12-15?highlight=wildmanh. Heber uses some classic designs and makes a very good sheath, but none of them are specifically made for the knife model; whereas Rick Lowe makes patterns for specific Andy Roy offerings. Bonafide has really come a long way in his offerings in a very short period of time. He is doing very nice work, and his sheaths go really fast. If you can shark one, you won't be disappointed. I own sheaths from all of these makers, and they are all very good.

I second this! Super nice guy, super high quality leather, super high quality craftsmanship, etc... His sheaths really show the sexy lines of Andy's amazing profiles and they are not made of unreasonably, unneeded thick leather. Slim and Sexy! A+++

McVeyMac, thanks for mentioning me. I'm still around and making sheaths. Been busy the last few Fridays so have not posted a sales thread :foot:. I have a bunch of Bushfinger sized sheaths in stock, ready to ship. Guess I should Post a Sales thread ASAP!

Welcome to the new guys! Get out and use your Fiddleback's, they beg to be used. If you need a sheath, shoot me an email.

+1 for Rick Lowe, he made a sheath for my first Fiddleback, an Asp. Great sheath, great guy to deal with. There are a variety of great options.

Glad to see that you are still making them Heber. I have been away for a while, and was not sure what your story was. FWIW, every weekend I carry a 5/32 Recluse in an HJE natural sheath. I have done this for almost a year now, and the natural leather has only begun to show a small amount of patina. I suspect this sheath will be my working sheath for the rest of my working life.

I have sheaths from all 5 of the makers from the linked thread. They all do great work in their own distinctive styles. Check out the Show Off thread to help decide what style you like.

Wow! Thanks so much for the great response. I've reached out a couple of these guys, and hope to have a sheath soon. I'll post some pictures asap!!! Thanks again for being such a great community.

I have a sheath that I purchased from Rick Lowe and a sheath that I got in a trade that is made by Heber Ellsworth. The sheaths are totally different but equally well made and functional. I would recommend both makers 100%.

I have a sheath made by Heber for a small Ka-bar BK-11 CSM and it is an awesome little rig, great price too, I highly recommend his work. In fact I will be contacting him soon for another piece of leather that I need, been putting it off for a while but time to get it done. Here is a couple pics, excellent value for the price.

DLT Trading has a Bark River Bushcraft AA sheath that is a perfect fit for a Bushfinger.
