Looking for a sheath

Looking for a sheath that I could use to carry a large Sodbuster in. Perhaps something in leather with an open top that would cover 1/2 to 3/4 of the length of a large Soddy like a Case or Tree brand Gaucho? Anyone have or seen something along these lines? TIA

You'll get a lot of options here. (I left a link for the regulars in "Traditional" as well.)

When I've used one, I've used the sheath that comes with the large Moore Maker sodbuster. You can find them online (and at the auction sites) but you'll find more elegant offerings here.

Thanks. Checked out the MM website and saw that sheath. Not bad though I'd prefer something with a little less of a "western" theme to it. Still, it's an option and I thank you for letting me know about it.

Sumpin like this? I've put belt clips or leather loops on the back of these.

That's almost exactly what I had in mind as far as the shape goes with or course as you mention, either a clip or belt loop added. Was messing around this morning and found out that a nylon Buck 110 sheath will hold my large Soddy very nicely as will the leather version though the leather, being molded allows for some slop. Neither is what I was wanting but the nylon would do for now as I tend to keep my leather 110 sheaths put away and just rotate my knives through a couple of the nylon sheaths for EDC. At least it will allow me to carry the sodbuster until something better can be acquired.

You're welcome and totally understand. It came with the knife and is very utilitarian (as is fitting for such a knife).

This is my fanciest by Paul Long (whose work is highly recommended). He can make 'em as plain or fancy as you like.

That's really nice! Rattlesnake?

Actually I like this one just the way it is for my JYD II. The great big clip is about my only pet peeve with that line of Kershaws and something like this would be a functional and great looking way to solve that peeve.

My thoughts exactly, jydII is a sheath only folder for me
