I'm looking for a custom knifemaker to make me a small (and I mean SMALL fixed blade for my keychain. The dimensions would be similar to a Sean Perkins Gryfen (3" overall w/a 2" blade), with a hole milled into the back of the handle for use of a split ring. I'd actually like to have a few of these made. Anyone know where I could find such a maker? As far as steels go, I'm open to anything from A2 to Damasteel. It doesn't have to be anything pretty, though. It just has to cut. I don't mind chisel grind either, and as far as thickness, I'd like something between 1/8" and 3/16". Thanks, in advance!

Sincerely,
Anthony

RJ, I looked on your site, but I couldn't see anything other than the Pocket Rotweiller. Is there a way I could see one of your Beanieballs?

Edited to add: I'm an idiot, and if I only look, I tend to find!

 :( :o  :footinmou  :D

Further edited to ask: What's the thickness on the A2 for the Beanieball? Also, is there any way to get a finger choil or grooves in the top of the blade for traction (These aren't absolutely necessary, so if the answer's "no" then that's fine, but I've gotta ask) say, how many of them do you have in stock anyhoo?

From the website:

The Beanieball $50

A cute little knife, preferred by my wife!
  • Specifications: 1" blade, approx. 3" overall. Chisel ground
  • Blade: A-2 tool steel, Rc 60-61. Black finish
  • Sheath: KYDEX with breakaway chain
  • Neck or Key chain carry

Wow!

I just looked at your site. Very nice stuff. Several items are now on my wish list. Once my wallet recovers I'll be picking up at least a Beanieball. -Alan

What a great looking keychain knife, and I would be willing to bet that since RJ Martin made this knife that it is scary sharp.

I'd buy one of those if only because R.J. lives in Bridgewater. I wonder just how many times I passed his shop without knowing it this summer? Oh well, I always HAVE been a little slow on the uptake.

The Beanieball is an awesome knife. I have mine on my keychain and use it daily. Used it so much I eventually chipped the tip and sent it to RJ for a rehab. Got it back and it was sharp as h**l!. Little shorter but thats o.k. The knife just disappears on your keychain but is always there when you need something sharp. Perfect, beautiful, little unobtrusive knife.
