Looking for a short, blunt tip, fixed blade, for salt water

I'm looking for something for all water sports, but specifically for diving, with a fixed blade blunt tip that won't rust/corrode. The perfect combination would be a Gerber River Shorty but in H1 like the Spyderco Salt. I currently carry both an Atlantic Salt folder and trauma shears. Looking for something to fill in the gap.

Spyderco enuff sheepfoot salt.

Numbers beat me to the punch!

I think that's pretty much exactly what you're wanting.

If not, Google G. Sakai. They have a significantly broader selection of H1 fixed blades than Spyderco (they're the OEM for the Salt series), though I don't know if they have one like you're describing.

1.MISION MPD BETA titanium.

2.BOYE Cobalt BASIC 3.

3.SPYDERCO Enuff Sheepsfoot Salt H-1.

All of the above make for knives impervious to the elements and excellent for around water.

The above knives all have blunt tips.

My kayaking rig - MISSION MPU BETA ti and titanium line cutter. Ditched the paracord for carbon fibre handle slabs and titanium chain ring bolts, as cord wrap dont work around water for me (nor for hunting for that matter)

I don't know of a specific knife to recommend, but any knife can be blunted.

So if you come across a knife that has several characteristics you like, but without a blunted tip, you could consider blunting it yourself.

The new yet to be advertised Boye Basic 3 has a slimmer sheath with no brass inserts. You can get it blunted. The best part is the price is lower as it's not as finished, no hollow grinding just cast (beautifully). I have the first one! The new sheath could be attached to a shoulder tank strap but not readily removed if you are renting the tanks. I dive with a large cheap party serrated sheath knife above my ankle. I could lever with it, something the Boye won't do. It's not the best steel as it's rustproof but 30 years later it still works. Very cold water dives require gloves so small knives just don't work.

As you can see the new sheath sits the knife higher in the sheath so its easier to grab diving but the Velcro top closure must be kept closed unlike the old sheath for normal above water duties.
Only once in many years and hundreds of dives including 2 years on an archeological dive team have I encountered a gill net, I elected to attach an air bag to it and remove the problem rather than cut and complicate things.

This is what I did with an otherwise unused serrated gerber ez-out many years ago. It still lives clipped to my white water swim vest.

Maybe I used the wrong terminology. By "blunt" I meant a tip that can be used as a pry bar, like the River Shorty, not just rounded off. I'm concerned a tapered and rounded tip would not be stout enough for prying.

This^. H1 is where it's at when it comes to rust proof

This too^. You can blunt any knife.

I think Benchmade has an H2O fixed blade with a blunt tip. I've used their N680 in water with no rust. Not in salt water though. I'd still prefer H1.

Check out the Schrader water rat. Comes in a good locking sheath. Also sheath slims down as it is two parts and can be used with just the locking Frn part. I liked mine and it took a beating
