Im looking for a small fixed blade I want it to be slim but at least 5 inches long

Price range under 100

Steel choice s30v or high carbon

Any suggestions?

Thanks, Conner :)

5" blade or 5" total?
Hard to beat an Esse Izula II for a small fixed blade for under $100.
Here's mine with aftermarket handle.

About 5 inches overall. I have looked at that one thats a good option

I think I might have to pick one of those up.

I like them both, but I can't find a Candiru with a handle and that's a need for me.

There are both ESEE and aftermarket handles out there for the Candiru.. And on a side note.. I also like my Izula II .. Real nice knife!! John

If you are looking for a thin blade in a good stainless steel at that size, you should take a look at the Enzo Birk Necker.

I don't look at fixed blades so small very often, so I'm not aware of tons of models that fit the bill.

The only one I can think of offhand is the Becker Remora (BK13) at 5.125in long overall. They changed to high carbon (1095cv) a few years ago, and are well within your budget as well. However, I'm not aware of any handle scales for it. Would be easy enough to create your own though, if you're so inclined.

Good luck on the search :).

Fred Perrin Neck Bowie.

You can easily set up the sheath for waistband carry. Personally I inside waistband carry using a static cord. Actually I think static cord is the only way to waistband carry this particular knife.

Static cord carry and an article better explaining the concept. Static cord is lowest profile most comfortable way to carry a fixed blade imho.

I don't have a good answer but am extremely interested in the question.
At least a good knife like this around six or seven inches (see my best suggestion the second from top below).
It is the Cold Steel Mini Pendleton Hunter in 3V. Be warned though :
  • overall length is pushing seven inches (five inches over all ? ? ? ? are you sure ? ? ?)
  • it is THICK (but I've ground Cold Steel's bruisers to a usable thickness; you could send your to be ground)
  • the sheath from Cold Steel is a do it yourself sharp edge remover (any body making good after market sheaths for this little gem of a knife ?
Five inches over all ? ? ?
Are you sure ? ? ?
that is exactly what that Gerber folding box knife is. Hey . . . I put a bimetal carbide blade in this one so as long as you don't close it it fits your specs.

I mean that doesn't even make a good detail carving knife top knife in photo.
So a mini neck knife like the bottom fixed blade shown a Cold Steel Super edge.
Again forget it the sheath dulls the edge eventually. Brilliant little thin knife though. Not the best steel for sure. Comes in handy if you are ever attacked by a bull frog. Well . . . a small bull frog . . .

Also Ivebeen looking at the Kershaw Skyline and it looks pretty cool. A little long but its thin and sleek so It might be an option

Do any of you own one? Is it reliable? It comes with s30v so probably its probably a good knife.

Okay, I think I'm going to go with the Candiru and wrap it with the static line.
I wouldn't call that thin at 0.12 inch (that's about 3 mm). I don't like my four inch blades any where that thick more like 1.9 mm.
I'm just saying.
and 12C27 ? That's similar to S30V is it ?
It's certainly not on my radar.
. . .(seems like I'm just causing trouble and should go away but this sort of knife is very interesting to me I just haven't stumbled on a good one yet . . .)
I like the finger groove; good and useful
Paracord wrapped handle. Only good for self defense. I mean what do you do with it when it gets goopy and wet (just takes dropping it in the gutter or cutting up food or trash) ? Even if one were to wash it it is going to stay wet all day . . . under a shirt ?
I'm over thinking this aren't I ? :(
I just dig the Krey-Ex handles so much.
