Looking for something small enough to be carried for EDC but large enough to do basic bushcraft. Right now I'm looking at the Izula 2, or the Scar Lil' hornet. Any suggestions are appreciated! :D

Becker bk11, bk14, bk24. Scrapyard sykco 4.11. Benchmade nimravus. Spyderco temperance 2, bushcraft. Tops has some offerings also. Just to name a few :).

What is your price range? Check out Kestrel knives they make some sweet knives. I got the Tahoe EDC recently and I love it.

I like my izula 2. I used it for fire prep, cutting line and rope, and rudimentary whittling (being bored and cutting stuff) when I went camping last. It's small while still being capable. Tough coating as well.

Izula 2. Hands down. If you look through my posts youll notice I bring up and recommend the Izula 2 a lot. Its because it completely stopped me from looking for knives in that category. The only other knife id buy that size would be an izula 2 in a different color.

Have Alan Davis make you one the way you want it. You get the best of both worlds with a custom knife made just for you. Good Luck! Kevin :D

That Tahoe has some belly.

Came in handy while testing it out on the roof last weekend. Tar came off nice and easy with some gas.

Whats the point of a new toy if you don't use it? :p

I would look at knives made by Bob Dozier. He has a number of models that would work well for EDC with his horizontal kydex sheath. I carry a Dozier Personal myself on my belt and nobody notices. But I would not carry the blade in an office environment. I like the Kabar BK-14 and BK-24 a lot too. Good size and similar to the Izula. Basically you add the clip option to the kydex neck sheath or carry it "loose" in the sheath in your pocket.

You would probably do better with a folder. No fixed blade with a usable blade length is good for edc. The spyderco gayle bradley comes to mind as a folder that can get work done. If it really must be a fixed blade look at bark river, fällkniven, or mora.

DPx Gear HEST II Assault Survival Knife with Black Plain blade of Niolox stainless tool steel (3.15" long and 0.19" thick) and G10 handles.

Does Mora make a blade as small as the Izula 2?
