...with a horizontal kydex sheath for cross-draw.

Bud Nealy makes a great small one and he said he can do the sheath like I want but I wondered if there's anything else out there in production that might be cheaper. It will be for work.

I want it to draw out horizontally and the sheath be belt level on the belt, not above the belt like most. Seen anything like that?

I haven't had much luck looking on my own so I thought I'd try this resource.

Check out Bob Dozier's knives. They arn't production, and they arn't really any cheaper, but they are well worth a look! I have a Straight Personal which is a 3" blade and came with a horizontal kydex sheath. I always wear it crossdraw and it works beautifully. Bob's knives are impressivly sharp and have really comfy handles. I can't recomend them highly enough.

Mine can be seen in my avatar.

My bad...Dozier is actually the one whom I "meant" that I talked to about one.

Isn't the first time I've confused Bob and Bud with their small fixed blades. Yeah, Bob can get me a great lil knife/sheath combo. But the Boker may do the trick for less.

Customs knives, great price, prices are all canadian, kydex or concelex sheets made for cary vertical or horizontal, left, right, up, down. He's good and makes great knives I have two so far.

John,

The Boker Bud Nealy is indeed what you are looking for. The sheath that comes with it does not support the carry mode level to the belt, but I´ve changed this myself by drilling one extra hole in the Kydex. This is just 5 mins. of work and will do the trick.

If you are willing to spend more money check out the site of Jens Anso (AnsoKnives). He also makes nice little fixed blades which can be had in either leather or Kydex horizontal sheaths that will support you carry mode.

Good luck!

This week I am carrying my Dozier straight personal. Fits your definition to a tee. Small enough to blend in on your belt, and large enough to cut just about anything on an EDC basis. Of course, Dozier's reputation for a small D2 blade is top notch.

If I didn't screw it up this is THE one and the exact sheath too.:D

Genghis,
I'm glad we could help you out.
I'm not too sure, but CRKT Ryan fixed blade may also have some options for you.

The Plan B's factory sheath can't be set up for John preferred carry configuration. The Plan B is still one of the most underrated production fixed blades out there and definitely worth checking out.

You just can't do better than that! In fact it looks kind of familiar to me...

And I have that same horizontal sheath for it, too.

What can I say? I think you have great taste! :D

I carry a Plan B horizontal on my belt all the time. I tuck the sheath through a belt loop and the clip goes over the belt loop. It's more secure than it sounds. The sheath is just wide enough to wedge in there and the clip holds it secure. Part of the reason it works is the way the clip is attached. The belt loop sits right in front of the little rise that the clip snaps into. I've also rigged up my Cold Steel Mini Culloden's sheath with paracord to be carried the same way. I wish they still made the old Kershaw Boot Buddy that was a great knife for this type of carry. The sheath was leather but worked great for that.
