Looking for a small Watch

I hate wearing watches that feel like I am wearing a toaster on my wrist, so I'm looking for a smaller watch. Any suggestions?

To narrow it down...

What is the circumference of your wrist? Mechanical or quartz movement? Price range? What were you wearing before?

Circumference = 7-8 inches

Which of the two is better?

not terribly expensive, maybe 100 max.

Haven't worn a watch in years.

There's a company called Skagen that makes wafer-thin dress watches. The style isn't to my liking, but they are very small and thin.

I have one of the Skagen titanium watches. Incredibly light. I picked it up at Hudson's, which is now Marshall Fields for $100. Go try one on. You'll love it ;).

I think you are on to something Bernoulli. How bright is the light on it? Looking through the site, I would also consider the "tool pack" and carry a multi-tool or phone or something in it.

TAG makes some smallish dive style watches, my professional is pretty thin and small, lots thinner/smaller than my pan GMT or my rolex GMT11.

i dont like anything smaller than the pro, myself.

If you carry a cell phone, you don't really need a watch as these display the time to great precision. But the Skagen recommendation is excellent for a nice dress watch. The trend in watch styles for the past couple of decades has been toward bigger and heavier, so I know what you mean about the toaster feeling. I have some older watches (late 1980s) that are tiny by today's standards and would almost look like ladies watches now. But they were/are comfortable and practical to wear.

Like a knife, the best way to pick one is to go where there is a large selection and handle them. Any department store and also Target and Walmart have good selections. Better indoor shopping malls often have kiosks with nothing but watches. Often the less expensive watches weigh less and this goes a long way toward comfort.

The link below is a watch I found at Target for $50 that is small, light and comfortable and I like the style and features a lot.

I found one from Skagen that I like, but I think for how much I dislike wearing watches a clip on watch is more practical for me.

Bright enough to find a keyhole or the loo on a dark night. The one I have is red. Easy to see, but does not cast a large beam.
So it isn't going to replace a flashlight. I figured as much, but had to check. Alright thanks for the info.
