Looking for a smaller multitool with pliers, a blade, a regular bit holder (able to keep the bit inside), and a pocket clip for under $50

Most of the ones I'm seeing either require the screwdriver bits to be kept separate, or they are some special proprietary bits. I don't want anything where the screwdriver is built in. It needs to use replaceable bits.
A pocket clip is a must since I use a horizontal belt sheath. Any suggestions?

Skeletool.
Sorry uses proprietary bits.

The only one that doesn't that i know of is the gerber center drive.

Which you can after market a pocket clip.

SOG makes a 1/4” driver attachment as an add-on for its multitools:

I don't think you'll find anything under $50 that isn't a clone or knockoff, isn't Chinese made crap, or isn't huge as most of those crappy Chinese made leatherman wave clones are.

You can up your budget a bit and get a leatherman bond then add their optional pocket clip.
From there you could add their bit adapter.
No you can't leave the adapter installed or a bit in it, but if you're going to take advantage of the bit holder by carrying additional bits then it shouldn't matter if you can keep one in the tool itself.
If you only want to have the tool with installed bit and nothing else why bother, just stick with the fixed drivers.

The price point is pretty much going to regulate you to knock offs from Amazon. They're aren't bad if all you have is $30. Check out the brand Rocktol. They are Chinese, but not of bad quality. I pretty much only buy leatherman, but those have the proprietary bits and are outside of your price. Rocktol uses standard 1/4" bits.

If you want a bit kit, you can build one for about $30 from Amazon (shown below). A mini bit ratchet and 1/4” extender far surpasses a multitool for driving fasteners all day long!

The Philips adapter Bit Kit from Leatherman also allows any standard 1/4” bit (or Leatherman bits) to be used. These can be used with the Rebar, SuperTool, Bond, etc.

Don’t discount the Leatherman bits! They’re awesome. Not only are they thin, but they’re also double sided and available in all the most common bits. I’ve tried hard and there isn’t a better (more compact/useful) setup for carrying bits.

My truck kit has both and the bits can be used interchangeably:

I have just about every mini bit driver out there. They all work great. I have the 711L on the way and it looks like another winner. Again, they far surpasses driving with a multitool:

The Wiha pocket kit has a great assortment as well, a nice driver, and comes with an extension (a requirement for all bit kits for me), all in a compact metal case for $30:

I gave one of these to a friend for Christmas and he loves it. It's a big chunkus though, so attempted pocket carry is going to be...it'll be something alright. It's gonna be the only thing that goes in that pocket, I can tell you that.
