Looking for a SOG folder

For daily carry, I had a SOG Flash, and let it go to a buddy who was getting hired to work for the Sherrif's Dept locally. I'm debating the SOG Spec Elite 1 or SOG Pentagon Elite 1. Anyone have these, or a recommendation?

if i had to pick a SOG i would get the Aegis. i like the blade shape.

i'm a big sog fan. pentagon elite 1 is my primary out-and-about knife. handle shape and increase in thickness at butt are perfect for deployment and use. sharktooth tip is cool too. can't beat it for size and price. have owned the spec elite 1 but traded it off. regret that now and was just considering a trip to bass pro to replace it.

I have the Spec Elite I and I love it. Very useful and blade shape with an incredibly comfortable handle.

I've got the Spec-Elite II on the way currently. Spec-Elites have a better blade shape for overall cutting while the Pentagons would be better at the stabs. Some places have the SE 1 for around 80 bucks. You can't really beat that for a good sized VG10 blade with a solid lock.

I EDC the Aegis a good bit. I like the blade shape and very light in your pocket.

A friend of mine carries the SOG ACCESS CARD folder. It is small, but is very sharp and holds an edge. He uses it at work a lot. It's more for light use stuff, and it all depends on your point of use.

Finding one for sale will be a chore, though... they've been discontinued for ages.

I've EDC'd an Aegis for over 6 months and its a great knife. Recently I've been carrying a mini vulcan to switch things up a little. Both are great knives.

ive edc'd a aegis for about 4 months now, its a great blade and holds an edge well. Plus ive got it in Digi cam so it looks great also

Another good one is the Visionary 2. It has about the same blade shape and size as the Spec Elite 1 ...but it has a different handle. The blade is black with a slight recurve...very cool looking!

I have a Spec Elite and its a solid knife, you won't go wrong with it or the Pentagon Elite. Both made in Japan, both high quality. Full stainless liners. Super smooth ARC lock. Excellent blade shape and nice grippy handle. SOG can put out a first rate folder.

What side are you looking for? I only have the Fatcat which is incredible and for a smaller size I'd recommend the Tomcat. While I haven't handled it the same features I love on the Fatcat appear to be present.
