Seeking your expertise-

Suggestions on a knife under $250 with these specs:

Flipper
3.0" to 3.5"
Monolock/FrameLock

Well I think the blade is gonna be bigger. I can't remember exact measurements. But the zt0560/0561 meets the flipper and framelock requirements. Should come out for around that price too. They will be awesome b/c rick will probably sell scales like he is for the 0551/0550. That the knife I'm waiting for anyway

I was looking at those closely too but they don't meet the requirements.

ZT0550/551 has no flipper.
ZT560/561 is 3.75" and priced slightly higher than 250.

Reason for the 3.5" limit is I guess in WA state a knife greater than 3.5" is considered a dangerous weapon and illegal to carry :grumpy:

It's only 3 things, but it seems like they can't all be found in any knife other than a custom!

I love how framelocks look too but I don't know that there actually needed for what most people will do with there knives. I know you may be looking for something alittle more high quality, but you should take a look at the kershaw skyline. Really good flipper, about 3" blade, linerlock, under 3 ounces, and all for about 30 bucks. I understand it might not be exactly what your looking for but it's the closest thing I can think of

I hear good things about the CRKT EROS Ti framelock flipper. I haven't had one but I plan to in the future. Near Future.

A large box full of Spyderco Bugs and Honeybees. Piece them out for gifts to everybody and never need to buy another gift.

The Kershaw Groove comes to mind. Also, the Kershaw OD-1 (strictly speaking the blade is 1/16" below 3", if that fraction of an inch matters).

The 0560 doesn't have a blade much bigger than 3.5 inches. I really doubt that extra fraction of an inch will get you in trouble, and there are always different ways to measure the edge. But if it really bothers you, just grind the blade down a bit.

Got the Eros recently and will echo all the positive sentiments about it. However, being so thin and lightweight (1.4 ounces) and having a long, narrow, pointy blade shape it seems best suited to lighter tasks (fantastic letter opener) and if chimichonga is looking for an EDC(?) he may want to consider something more substantial. I get a little nervous cutting through cardboard with the Eros.

It's 3.75", but have you seen the Combative Edge M1? Great blade! Flipper, < $200 and easy to carry due to it's flat profile.

Also, not quite a framelock, but with a very very beefy Ti-liner, the HTM DDR Gun Hammer might fit your bill. AO flipper, and pretty close to your price range.

A few that have been discontinued, but might be possible to find:

Kershaw Titanium Bump. That one has the flipper, and is assisted opening, as well. I do believe the blade is @ 3.5"

Harder to find, but possibly used for your price: Camillus Cuda Dominator: Also assisted, but the blade length is iffy.

Kershaw Titanium Leek with ZDP blade. May end up being too expensive.

You should have started looking about 5 years ago. Hah, hah,:D. Oh, well, I'm sure there's something out there.

Good luck.

I would suggest a ZT 0350. It's not a framelock, but I'll be buggered if anyone can tell the difference given how thick that liner is.

The Kershaw Salvo, Shallot, Leek, and Groove should fit the bill, though they all have stainless framelock handles, which aren't quite the same as solid titanium.
what you want is a kershaw ti zdp mini cyclone . . . if you can find one, they are tough to find since discontinued.

Or you could look at the Kershaw Shallot, especially one in S110V steel.
Good luck with that, I don't think I'll be selling mine;).

Kershaw JYDII. You may still be able to find them. Ti clothes , SG2 blade steel , flipper , quite solid !! very ergonomic and quite a slicer.

Well under your price range , quite a sleeper of a knife.

Lionsteel SR1 Aluminium. Or if you dont like that get both a Spyderco chokwe and a ZT350 for that money and your sure to love one if not both.

Not available anywhere except maybe the for sale section once in a while. I found a couple sites that display it, but I hesitate to order from sketchy web dealers I've never bought from before.
