I've seen this great eastern cutlery blade that to me is the nicest traditional knife I've seen. I may be wrong because I've only seen the knife while scrolling through the South American river site, I want to say it's the Barlow #15. It's the single blade, wharncliffe style and I was looking for a model that had a handle material that wasn't micarta. Looks like this--->

Do you know where I can find this? I've looked on the exchange, I've checked some of the distributors for GEC and no luck

I realize it might be sheepsfoot. But they have a sheepsfoot model and this one has more of a point so I said wharncliffe

I believe you're correct on the GEC number. Keeps your eyes open on the exchange and such things are commonly discussed over in the Traditional Forum. Look at the various GEC dealers websites also.

Those particular knives are usually claimed within minutes of showing up on the exchange, if the price is decent. There's a micarta one there right now for $165.

What's rare is a GEC 3 blade medium stockman, or any stockman for that matter. I've given up on getting one of those.
EDIT: Disregard the last part, I found some... wouldn't you know it.

Yes. The traditional exchange is a different ball game with respect to how fast things move.

I watched for a #66 stockman on the traditional exchange more than a year and gave up.
I had no idea they just made a new batch. Just ordered 2 from KSF for myself and someone else who wanted one.
Also just looked on the exchange and there's a #66 micarta user for a decent price.
