I'm looking for a very specific type/style of knife. I want an affordable ($20 or under) smaller end fixed blade with a wooden handle and preferably spear point blade. Think the size of a Mora classic No.1 I want something that is kind of a multi-use camping/food prep/bushcraft knife. I may just get a Mora Classic 1 but i was wondering if there was anything of a slightly better quality for a similar pricetag. Any recommendations are appreciated.

Better quality than a Mora and under $20? Don't think so.

Hultafors and Marttiini, maybe?

Mora no 1 is a great knife. For that price range it is the best there is in my opinion. I could afford a more expensive knife but continue to use my Mora because it's light enough to be comfortable around my neck, slices effortlessly, and is super easy to maintain the blade sharpness.

The Mora 2/0 is a great size of you want a lightweight backup knife that is still capable of processing wood and game.

A Green River Dadley is pretty much exactly what you are describing. Will probably cost you about $25.

An Ontario Old Hickory would probably be even less.

Both are America's "Mora."

I think an Old Hickory would be more durable because of the thicker blades and full tangs. Although it seems O.H. have gotten thinner recently, or maybe it's just certain models. Their 7" butcher knife costs $12 and has a full tang. You could fairly easily re-shape the blade into a spear point.

Nothing wrong with a Mora though, if your primary purpose is simply cutting stuff.

Take a look at the Rough Rider Hunter - similar style to Loveless and only about $20.
