You truly might want to wait a couple of months. I have heard that they are about to come out with a totally new Spyderench before too long. I am waiting until I get me one of the newer ones. I do indeed like the one I currently have. But I can believe that it will be a sure bet that the new one will have some significant improvements

May I ask which "major online knife seller"?

The one featured in the aforementioned link looks like my old Spyderench...steel on the blade is AUS-8 or the like.

kristi said that heinne was mistakenly shipped the new spydie wrenches. the rest will be shipped out who knows when. as far as the specs of the new one look at their site, heinne has the new ones in stock.

what is the difference between the new ones and the old ones? different disigns or different steels??

I think the design is the same. The only difference is the blade steel (AUS-8 from 440C). See this thread over on EDCF for some recent discussion about the Spyderench.
