Hello everyone.

Recently I seemed to have misplaced my SRKW Howling Rat, which, while sad, puts me in the market for a new knife. And since my taste and my pocketbook have expanded since I bought my Howler, I think I will get a nice custom.

Here is what I'm looking for:

1: "Tacti-cool" styling. I apreciate the traditional looks, but for this knife, I want to go really bad a$$.

2: Anywhere from a 3" to 5" blade.

3: Availible soon, as in, within 6 months, but imediately is prefereble.

4: Price around $300. A little less, a little more, but in that ballpark.

Those are about my only requirements, and I submitt them to the vast custom knife knowledge of the foumites!

For reference I really like the look of Trident Knives, so anything similar to that would be great.

Thanks all.

Check out some of Bob Dozier's small FB knives. Great for EDC and you'll have a little change left over.

Mr. Siegle has some pieces in the knife makers for sale forum that sound up your alley. he make a nice blade and they are available right now.

Thanks for the suggestions guys!

As for steel, I think I might like to go with a stainless for easy care, but I dont mind carbon either. Basically I'm searching for that one knife that just jumps out at me. I'm sure you guys know about that.

It might cost you a few dollars more, but if you are looking for "bad-ass" in appearance, I think you should look for knives made by Kiku Matsuda. Heavily sculpted G-10 scales, unique "distruptive" acid etch blade finish and even the utility blades have an agressive look.

The above suggestions of Mosier, Dozier and Krein are all definitely worth checking out. Shane Sibert too, though his stuff may be harder to find within your timeframe. Other names I'd submit for consideration are Lucas Burnley, Ryan Wilson (Wilson Tactical) and you might be able to find some Ikoma or Ikoma-Korth fixed blade models out there right now.

Shane Beshara/Besh Knives

Oops sorry! Brent Beshara. Shane as in Sibert is also a great option.

Thanks for all the help guys!

I really, really like the look of Kiku Matsuda's work. I like the look of his handles and the cool acid finish. I think I just might have to pull the trigger on one of those, and I could have in in a week or so!

But if anyone ha anymore suggestion, I'm open. I just wish I had enough money to buy one from every maker.

Well, I just pulled the trigger on this beauty:

Its a little bigger than I had planed, and a little more expensive, but I can handle it, especially with the Candian dollar doing so well, its great for international shopping.

Jens Anso's fixed blades should fit what you are looking for. He doesn't take orders on them any more, but they pop up for sale on the secondary market on a reasonably regular basis.
