Looking for a tactical impact device for an A2 surefire

It should be noted I am trying to follow forum rules and given the brief description given as a subtext to every forum the general one looked to be the most appropriate one.

Currently I am a door guy at a bar on a college campus and must consider the fact that that young adults plus alcohol can result with a violent effect as such I try to have as an edc a nice tactical flashlight and a folding pocket knife (which in this case is a surefire a2 aviator and a kershaw serrated leek in a matte black finish). Now the question at hand is does anyone know of such a company that has an add-on impact bezel for the a-2 that can help me have an advantage over an opponent in a bar room squabble.

The reason I am looking for this is in a fight when adrenaline is pumping amd thought is on the back burner I would like to carry something that will help me temporarily subdue/injure the opponent rather than injure the man that we all know knives can do.

Not a problem but the Community Center instructions include this definition:

Gadgets & Gear: Threads regarding any object that is not a knife, such as guns, gun related articles, shoes, flashlights, backpacks, spoons, cars, motorcycles, etc. belong in this forum. This includes discussion of same.

So I'm moving it there. :)

Darn it missed the right forum, in any case to get the ball rolling. Maybe a company similar to gg&g, any ideas, thoughts, or comments.

Here's just one example of that type of submission bezel:

If you're asking the question then you probably already know this, but these bezels are meant to be used in conjunction with training concerning various pressure points upon which you would apply the bezel.

If used without this knowledge, you would simply be applying a sharply spiked object to fairly random areas and would be doing a fair amount of injury to the local area (though still less than a stab wound). I only mention this because if you're truly going to use this as a method of 'non-lethal' defense, it would be best to get such training.

I don't know your local laws, but it seems that pepper spray would also be a good option.

Pepper spray would be an option -- once. After that, no one would come to the bar again. He needs something very personal, very quiet, that he can use effectively without anyone else being upset by it.

I agree the gg&g stuff is on the rather aggressive side I was looking something less extreme leaning more toward what surefire currently uses in the E2 defender series. As far as training goes I have a few friend with military or law enforcement backgrounds who have offered to give me some pointer.
As a bonus the bezel would offer a little extra protection to the lens in the case of an accidental dropping.

Edit:As far as the pepper spray suggestion goes I would be worried about a possible splash effect occuring and getting on other people.

i dont like the add on bezels myself, adds too much weight to the light and ruins the balance, not to mention tears your pants up, actually dont care for the E2D SF either lol,

How about duct-taping a hammer to your flashlight?.:D.:D.

...Sorry.:).

What you need is an A2 Porcupine.

Good luck finding one though. They're collector's items, and if you manage to find one, it won't be cheap.

As far as saps go if they are similar to blackjacks then I believe they are a no no.

As far as the A2 porcupine goes, I want one. Saddens me the current A2 gets no love, best impulse buy ever.

Having that wicked looking strike bezel sure looks cool, but wouldn't it be messy to have chunks of flesh + blood dirtying the beautiful A2?

The best would be to settle matters peacefully, if not, a combination of stun gun, baton and finally heavy duty tyraps( as hand cuffs) would do a fine job than the A2.

Just my 0.00001

Why don't you check with your boss about training? He can get with his insurance comapny about it. You as the bouncer may be a liability to the bar (and the insurance company) if you do NOT have training.

If you subdue someone with your personal weapon without ever informing your boss that you have one and intend to use it, then you might be personally liable if the college kid wants to come at you in court. Or your local police may want to charge you criminally if you cause a serious injury.

If the boss provides (or OKs) training for you, then you are less likely to get wrapped up in a lawsuit or a criminal charge.

Reasons why wanting a impact device on a flashlight.
-Won't add anything when it comes to items I carry every day.
-Goes unnoticed compared to mace, stun gun, ect. (I mean would you want to go to a bar where people carry that stuff).

Subject concerning management and insurance:
-Management is fine with it, boss carries an E2 defender and suggested gg&g.
-Training can be arranged upon request
-Insurance subject was not explored due to support from higher up.

As far as swing around products similar to gg&g:
-I'm looking for something less aggressive and similar to the standard strike bezel on the E2 defender.
-I have had some pressure point pressed with bezels like these and fully realize the proper use of them and intend on being informed on the proper use of them aka not swing blindly with it.

In the past 2 years there hasn't not been a single punch thrown in the bar and all altercations have been delt with before they came to a head. Now, do I really expect to use this? No. Am I giddy about trying to maim some one? No. Do I get excited about what if scenarios and use them as justification to buy cool toys? Yes.

For the most part I am a calm well adjusted college student (one year left) who's initial post or two probably didn't come off the right way.

Maybe I should just change the question to "What strike bezel would you add to your A2 if you were fighting off a horde of zombies?" :p

ya might post on candlepowerforums and look for one but IIRC GG&G makes the ones that TAD & others sell so if they dont make one for the A2 then ya might have to mod one to fit or be SOL.

someone else might make them though.
